I did,nt see one Italjet Dragster on the video ,are they not allowed on the rally.
@user-dz9qe2tn2z no they just wasn't any there mate, there quite rare these days, on a national rally with 3000 people you see a few but 400 on this one less likely, thers no rules or anything 2 lads atleast were on motorbikes
@@YFRacing To yfRacing,.......Thank you for replying,I am 79yrs and finding harder to get on my Honda gb500,so I was thinking of maybe buying a scooter if I did it would have to be a Dragster 200,I like the engineering and how rare they are, plus you can buy a brand new one for£4.299 00.Fifty years ago I was working in the Isle of Man for a week erecting silo,s on some farms and it was scooter week, some of the scooters were mainly stripped down Lambretta,s with huge Dellorto carbs and expansion pipes, also ball ended brake and clutch levers they had between their legs they had a pair of wheels with tyres on for racing on the beach when the tide was out,one of the days the road was closed from Greg-na-Baa to Kates cottage doing like a hillclimb all the riders where waring one piece leathers, most of them were from Europe. It was amazing so was some of the scooters,I don,t know if they still hold scooter events like that anymore,a friend of mine tunes sooters he is called Andrew Francis (Franny) he is very well know in the scooter world. Sorry to bore you, I live at Carlisle, Cumbria, Regards, Russell Jones. PS......my spelling is not to good, its a while since I was at school!!!
Looking forward to seeing guys on the Isle of WIght 😄
@houseofbaboshka6456 cheers, we next year am planning on doing every national, never managed to make them all in one year and thers a few iv never done so il be at the iow, going to pull gts engine out over winter give it a overhaul ready for the miles, shees 2007 so bout time for a tare down, we planning on Holland rally next year aswel itl be 10 year since we were last there
@@YFRacing Nice one YF Do it while you are able to as it sounds great fun. When you are on the IOW give us a shout or a beep, I will on my little tank girl (mobility scooter) wearing a german helmet LOL. Cheers and have a good one
@houseofbaboshka6456 I definitely will 😄 cheers
Love the video looking forward to seeing more 💪👍😉😀😁🏁🏍️🛺🐑🇵🇭🏴
@@gordonsuddery4635 cheers appreciate it 👍
Thanks really enjoyed watching it. Been over many times to TT on my motorbikes ( the older I get the faster I was ) but I can now see the appeal of doing it on a Scooter. All I need now is to stretch my pension a bit of flog the house to be able to buy one. You really can't beat two wheels for fun can you !
@2wheelsrbest327 cheers appreciate it, well am the same mate I love 2 wheels also I ride bikes, would love to get to the TT one day, yep you can get a hell of a bike for the price of a nice modle lambretta these days, me mate who has always had scooters vespas mainly has just got himself a cbf600 mainly because the prices are just daft so hees on a bike now and loves it, I try to have ago at as many affordable clubman level 2 wheeled sports as I can always done on the cheep but that's the fun part finding a way by using your brain and hands to get there
I'm glad you enjoyed it, please come back again. I see you met my mate Hugh on Port Cornaa beach.
@@edwardwest5035 we will be we have been for last 3 year a think next year were going back to Holland but defo back for the 26 rally also I might be over next year but with the pitbike to enter a race at kart track and the trials bike to do a trial there, yeah spot on fella he was telling us where to see the wollabys, still never seen any! 😄 🤣 one day a might
Great video. Looks weird seeing 2 way traffic on the mountain section though. Glad the weather picked up a little for you all 😀
@mickydebargos yeah TT time they will have it one way these days, always wanted to go over for the classic or TT, one of me best mates from school used to race it
@@mickydebargos and cheers 🍻
@YFRacing Should get over. There's a bunch of guys go over every year on Honda C50's, C70's & C90's. For me, doesn't matter what you ride over there, it's just about being there for the atmosphere 🇮🇲🏍🏁
@mickydebargos or I it's just the money bit is why iv not made it over for it yet, am into alsorts 2 wheels mate a love me bikes aswel, I was at a hillclimb the other week as passenger in f2 sidecar I was lining up and behind us the Birchall outfit was lining up with Tom and his passenger (as his brother retired) it was a sureal moment, a did a video about that aswel, a was asked to do it full time for rest of season but am doin quite well with me trials at the mo so got to consecrate on that, a will get there to see it though aventualy
@@YFRacing Good luck with it 👍🏼🤞🏼
Enjoyed that. Thanks for posting
@@buonafortuna8928 cheers 🍻
Love the off route trails…… another side to the Isle of Man Well filmed 😎👌🏽
@colinblick8946 cheers very much, yeah we did the tootle ride last year 140 miles around the island thers loads of this stuff if you look for it around the coast, there was actualy a gpx map for it you could download and do the route any time yourself
Great Video Ì
Cheers very much, brill weekend like
Great video 👍
Cheers very much, was a cracking weekend
A grand day out. I used to enjoy Baitings dam and Esholt sprint.
You can see why hillclimbing as a motorsport has been going forever and all ages take part, it had a lovley atmosphere the hole weekend
Great grass root racing . Enjoyed that 😊😊😊
Cheers mate, I enjoyed the day, il be definitely doing it again in the future 👍
Fud
?
Well done and you got me in your video.
Cheers appreciate it, along as you wernt on the sick or anything 😄 🤣
Price
This video was from years ago she sold a along time ago and is still going
Out of interest what tyres are you using
It's a cst 3.50x18 on rear and a kenda 2.75 on front, when the mudguard was lifted high it had the same as rear, good tyres, gripped ok but not soft enuf to dismantle on the tarmac
Nice video mate 👍 looks fun
Cheers mate appreciate it, brill day out but next time weel be out with use lot, as you know it's a bugger to build one so takes some time and we haven't found one for right money yet but hopefully later on in the year il have one sorted and get enterd
@@YFRacing looking forward to it
😂
The onboards at start had to be saved 50 fps after thats it's 60 fps
Brilliant video mate 👍🏻 the kettle ♨️💨🤣🤣🤣
A was pissin mesel when it was shooting water out the back lol, are you riding it this weekend mate? And cheers quality is loads better on a proper camera, just a second hand jobby like
Man your videos of this cg125 scrambler are absolutely crazy, would like to see it again in a enduro ride 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Thankyou, sadly I sold it to a friend, it currently goes on the back of his campervan so he can ride around onse there, it's ok though il have back eventually but back on a trials bike at the mo and have a few other things going for now, I did think mebys build it into a tarmac racer and enter it in freetech endurance events
Was a great weekend, First one I’ve ever been too, Was fab 👌👍
It's only my second year iv been it's a hell of a show with abit of action too, will defo be back next year
Bob's White Noise 205 has been campaigning since i was a school boy. (It had my dads old engine in it at one point). Im in my mid 40s now!
Brilliant, yeah it lives up to its name when it fires 🔥 😅 it's crackers a proper cool machine
Great video mate, thanks for Capturing all of what’s on offer at the speed show, once again I didn’t get to see half of that as doing my thing with the sprinting . My favourite comment of yours during the video was when you were looking thru the hollow rear seat section of on of the top speed bikes and simply say ‘WTF’ classic😂😂. Thanks for heading over and spending the time you and your pops did in the pits with me and green light scooters 👍👍🙏🛵🚀
Yeah completely cought me off guard that one it took a while for a the brain to understand 😄 i had to cut a few sentences out i forget im recording, its just a shame I couldn't get closer to the racing but it was mainly a test for the camera, sound wise close up and far away filming also memory wise what it uses, I think onboards will look really good, if I don't nock the bike off paddock stand again and brake the mount it attaches to lol, il be buisy this weekend if weather plays ball tarmac and dirt so will get some good shots, I no problem mate we enjoyed the crack you and nige did spot on like with the new setups 👍
Update, 5 months on 4 race meets still hasent lost any air from setting, the tyre will be wore out befor it leeks
love it! ingenious
Cheers, it did require a new band after it went brital but a rubbed baby oil into the next one and it lasted alot longer, best carry a spare 😄
Looking awesome mate. Good luck with the racing 👍🙏
Cheers marra, just waiting for weather now
Just looking to have a go at LDT next year with my '06 Innova (I'm 68 and thought it would keep me off the streets) and I've learned lots from your channel today - the main thing being the position of the pegs... Im off to Exeter 5/6th Jan to see what else I can learn but a huge thanks for taking the time to film, edit and REPLY to the questions HNY 🙏
Not a problem Graham, to be honest I do these vids so I can go back and watch them years later, loads of events I never took a photograph and regret it now, yep peg position is everything and also get rid of the rubber pegs, get some metal spikey ones on pitbike onse been the cheapest, after a few river sections you foot will slip straight of a rubber peg, il be back doing some ldt's next year, iv been buisy with the modern trials and other bits and bobs but I'm building a montessa soon that I can fit a long range tank and sub frame too for a seat and have it bolt on bolt off then il have a bike for all occasions, if I had the roon I'd still have the cg I loved that little bike, a friend of mine has it now and it travels around on the back off there camper van, the road book the only bit I found to fail was the innertube I used as thee belt it dried and cracked so take a spare bit just incase it ever goes when your out and about, cheers
Great little video and a top weekend
Be looking forward to next season on the Quattrini👍🏼 Nice lil’ film marra😉
Yeah that would be my weapon of choice aswel, remember see somone you know in bsso, thery always chucking away scrubs that for this game have lots off life left, good sticky tyres
This looks so fun I got a 1985 xl125 and currently building a 1989 cg125 scrambler where is this event and when’s the next one lol
A little xl125 would be perfect, as I had to modifi the cg pegs and made my own plates to put the riding position further back, there organised by the mecvc that's a trials club, look for them on face book, you can ask on there, you will need to join a trials club then apply for a trials acu licence unless there using somone else now, but normaly 10 quid to join a club and 20ish for licence that covers you all year but they might do day licences, iv been back into my modern trials lately but should have a bike sorted for next year to do a few ldt's with the mecvc, xl or xr 125 will be my weapon off choice I think, the best bit about the trials they know the land owners and tou get access to lanes that have been either closed for a along time or never aloud the public and have only ever been farmers routes so realy old sheep heading routes and the scenery is lush, brilliant days out
@@YFRacing sounds like a great time I bought the xl125 as a field bike sent off for logbook and it’s came back its got a cg125 engine fitted, I will definitely look into this sounds so good thanks mate
Cg engines are bomb proof, if its a older push rod engine you can use Brazil parts, it basicly means you can renew hole top end for not much money, I rember doing aa hole top end re fresh and it costing same as what a apitbike would, only has a oil strainer though not a proper filter so oil changes are best abit more regular
Nice one mate 👍👍
Being in the team who was bailed out again by #70, all I can say is cheers for an ace weekend. See you next year!
There a good bunch, see use next year! Cheers
Just seen this thanks for adding me in at the end , cheers
Brilliant...can't wait to do it again
Itl soon come around mate
Hey Scott, I only just seen this, bloody brilliant and thanks for taking the time to put it together. Looking forward to the next scooter shoot out and I hope to be in attendance 😂😂🛵🚀
Haha yeah I carnt belive you missed your own doo 😅, hope the shoulder is feeling a touch better now marra although I suspect is going to be a few months
Thanks Frank cracking day out
It's was mate il definitely be back at some point
Loved it mate-great footage of what looked like a great trip👍🏼
Definitely worth going over mate, and I have the route saved on gpx file, so you could follow the same route any time, you need the map like 😄 🤣
Great content.
What was this filmed on, a potato 🤣
Snacks included
I was seriously thinking about getting a dual-sport as a second bike or replacement bike for my CG, but you’ve shown me another way. What do you recommend for modifications that can be done by a guy with no welding skills?
Foot pegs need to be further back and lower for standing riding, and this one had classic trials bars on, everything else is just moving stuff out the way so it doesn't get bashed like exhaust or fixing a bash plate to protect engine
@@YFRacing Thanks for the good info, man!
@@YFRacing Sorry, one more question. I was wondering what would be the best off-on road tire for the CG125. Would I need to change the wheel size too? Thanks!
Cst or kenda do a 3.50 trials tyre thats what I had on rear, and aa 2.75 on front, any bigger than 3.00 on front you will have to move the mudguard
@@YFRacing Thanks again; I'll save this valuable info for when I'm ready to go for it!
Glad you all had such a good time👍🏼Great lil’ film😉
The lil CG125 is a great commuter i own one for now 25yrs. I got many secondary bikes that i've sold away but this one i wont for even all the gold in the world.😊
It's a brilliant machine
I bought the Wuyang-Honda CG125 in Japan. The cheapest 125 I could get new, and it’s been nothing but fun and reliable with surprising power.
Nice lunch box
Cheapest way is to make one, it's survived 5 trials now
@@YFRacing I’ve never seen anything like it. At first I thought you had placed a computer screen/navigation device into the container, but it appears to be a scrolling text on paper. Very cool.
Yes they are named road books, bikes been using this system since the very early days off motorbikes, the trials still use it, along with rally bikes, if you watch the Dakar they still use the idea but have electronic strollers now so no need to take hands off the bars
@@YFRacing Very cool. I’m hooked on watching motorcycling videos, but this is the first time I’ve learned about road books. I’ll check to see if they have British style trials in Japan.
What downpipe you got on that cg?
Its a 29mm pit bike one i cut and welded up
@@YFRacing Cool thanks for reply.
I have the same cg. Currently restoring it. Would love to come do this. Where abouts is it
It's the durham dales, have alook on m-ecvc page on face book it's the club that organises them, normaly 4 trials a year but they accommodate a class so any bike can take part
