You'd counter nets in a similar way to plant Z. Both dismount you, both take half a brain to use, but plant Z is slightly harder to use. Usually people will carry more plant Z than they do nets I find, since it's more expensive, so you can potentially bait and waste their nets if they are shooting them generously. If you are netted, immediately chop the net (male character does it slightly faster). Your goal shouldn't be to continue the engagement on foot, always prioritize your tame first. Anyone trying to get you off your tame is banking on the fact that you're going to panic. Stay calm, pull out your cutter and break the net immediately upon being netted (bonus points if you dismounted before the fight, equipped the cutter, and then mounted so it's the first thing you equip when dismounting). Always remember that nets or any dismounting tool is not dangerous in itself, it's how you react to the situation or got into that situation to begin with that makes it dangerous. If you find that you don't have time to cut the net, you're probably taking stupid fights like pouncing a guy who has his giga already out of cryo or something. As for the Desmos, I haven't been playing, so I really don't know how it works. I assume the Mana is faster than the Desmos, as it is most things, so you can use that to your advantage and play the long game.

I think I generally designed this tier list to encompass end-game PVP. The bow just doesn't do any damage and is outclassed by the crossbow and compound bow later on. If I rank everything for what it's good at in a specific stage in the game it makes the tier list confusing, as you might see something like the boomerang in S tier because it knocks people out instantly who are naked or in hide but it does literally nothing against anyone with armour. Though, some things don't really follow this thought process on the tier list, so I'd definitely re-order this if I did it again.

Plant Z the flashbang throwable from Aberration you can grow it in a crop plot. It dismounts you when you are hit by it on certain tames if you face the explosion.

Well that is quite unfortunate. I recently made the switch from single player to solo pvp and your videos have genuinely been the most useful things for learning about it!

I play on switch, and pretty much none of the maps are out. (Not even gen 2, for gods sake) only non story is rag. What would you recommend I do if I can’t get a trop crystal wyv at the beginning

@@Fresher-qx9rk in place of a wyvern I'd go for a ptera tamed in the highlands, tame a high level with mutton, you don't want to skimp on the levels here because you want high stamina and weight or it won't get you anywhere. Yeah it's still kinda slow but it's the best you're gonna get without Gen 2 or Crystal Isles. Then you basically need to tame an Arthropleura near the thing you want to break and lead it there. Baryonyx are also surprisingly fast, you can tame them and use them to kill basically anyone you encounter, if you can't stun their water tame then you just go on land. If you can't outrun them on land go in the water. Pump speed and weight, you don't need to worry about life since you won't get randomly jumped by a Mana, so being super fast helps you get hit less and close the gap quicker. If there are other DLC maps available this would greatly increase your options, like you could do Sinomacrops, Shadowmane. Only other thing that I'd personally go for might be a raptor or a tuso. Squid is surprisingly quick and easy to tame at a low level using a random turtle tame during an event with bonus taming (use a calculator). Plus you can kill anyone you encounter with it if they dip a single toe in the water or come close to the shore.

It can take anywhere from 1 - 2 hours or even less but it depends on a lot of factors such as map, population, and which obelisk you're at. I generally do not advise camping the obelisk. It's better to keep track of timer mentally or using a stopwatch and visit obelisks when the timer is around 1 minute left. This way you get the jump on people who were waiting but checked for campers before they got there. It also is a better use of your time and it's less boring.

@@Fresher-qx9rk I'm glad they've been helpful. You check the server timer by going to a drop and seeing what the timer on your items is. Then you would either set a timer to keep track until 1 minute remains or you would just try to mentally keep track / check another drop every few minutes.

When you run out of oxygen you die slowly, so I would've been okay. The real savior was the microraptor who stunned the bloodstalker rider before he could finish me off.

It's because you will never get a kill with a grenade but a sickle can at least save your life by cutting a grapple. That was my thinking. Tierlist does need to be redone though, just not because of this example.

@@M.O.M.II'm sure you've killed terrible players with grenades! No self respecting player would die to a grenade. If you're wearing armor it will barely damage you. If you're wearing good armor it practically won't damage you at all. So you either play community servers with weird settings or you blew up bobs. The only way a grenade could do damage is the tropeognathus saddle, but that's more the tropeognathus saddle's damage than the grenade.

Did you jump, sprint, or do anything else similar to that? It can also behave weirdly if a female / male mate boosts it during taming. It's super finnicky.
