The Hitman was written about Freddie's AIDS condition. Originally it was meant to be a bluesier song but May wanted to push it into really angry metal territory. Knowing the hitman in question is about Freddie's imminent death makes the lyrics all the more powerful.

Bose solucionou as barreiras naturais, a água e montanhas, para ter eficiência na transmissão. A Primeira Transmissão de Voz A primeira transmissão tendo o conjunto voz e música por ondas de rádio ocorreu em dezembro de 1906, em Massachusetts, nos Estados Unidos. Foi, contudo, o canadense Reinald Fessenden quem reproduziu por uma hora conversas e música para radioamadores. Outras experiências também mercaram a combinação, mas era preciso dispositivos semelhantes a fones de ouvido nos primeiros aparelhos, feitos à mão. Os primeiros receptores eram confeccionados em sulfeto de chumbo, os bigodes de gato, usados para detectar os sinais de rádio, sendo ligados a aparelhos de cristal. Havia muita dificuldade para sintonizar as estações e, principalmente por esse obstáculo, a massificação do rádio ocorre somente após 1927. Até então, a Primeira Guerra Mundial, deflagrada em 1917 foi o mais significativo fator limitante à difusão do rádio, embora já existissem centenas de emissoras. Mein Song des Tages: Freddie Mercury - Mr. Bad Guy Bei diesem Versuch, sich von seinen Band Queen abzukoppeln, ging meiner Meinung nach vieles bis alles schief. Nicht, dass die Songs der Soloplatte schlecht waren, aber die Arrangements ließen doch für den bewußten Mercury Hörer einiges zu wünschen übrig. Mr. Bad Guy kam damals wie ein abgebrochener Homerecording Versuch daher. Keine Überzeugenden Gitarren. Keine exaltierten Drums. Nicht mal die Gesangsspuren konnten richtig überzeugen. Und der Text des Liedes ein einziges Gejammer, wie unverstanden sich Mr. Mercury fühlte. Insgesamt war Single wie Album ein kommerzieller Fehlschlag und wohl die Keule für Mercury's Ego schlechthin. Das hatte aber auch sein Gutes, denn so ging es eben für den Sänger zurück ins Glied und weiter mit seiner fantastischen Band Queen.

This is an extremely underrated song. It was a mistake not to release it as a single. The intro is great and I'm sure this was an important experience in Freddie's development. It's a pity that Freddie was going through his funk/disco/pop phase when he was left by the others and so he kind of had to do his solo album at this time. Later he returned to his "roots" and continued creating complex music when he started working on his 2nd solo album - All God's People was a song he wrote with Mike Moran for his solo album which was later hijacked by Queen. Unfortunately, this album has never been made, because the work was interrupted by his work with Montserrat and the absolutely magnificent Barcelona album was created.
