    Great Tutorial! thank you! I can't stop wondering how I can make the colour mixing in a more physical way, like mixing red and green becomes a muddy brown, and when mixing all sort of colours together, it will eventually turn into some greyish mess.

      You are most welcome, when mixing red and green it should eventually become yellow but if you add blue or just keep missing random colours it will eventually become white. Hope this helps.

    I'm on houdini 20.5 and when I use vellum softbody from shelf like you've shown. polyreduce, remesh, and yet config doesn't show up. what should I do?

      It's due to new versions, try and build it one by one as per the node tree. Or download the previous version and use the shelf tool.

    no HQueueClient service in my PC, HQueue server only. I tried to start the hqueueClient.exe, but it just flashed and shut down itself in a second...F

      You'll need to install HQueue Client for it to showup in the services

    Hi just really new to houdini and like to get my HQueue up and running. I did everything you said but cant get my laptop to get noticed by my HQueue server machine. I am able to ping each other detect my server machine as a client as well did the windows firewall thing as well. Any help would be much appreciated.

      @@MrFeliks912 okay miraculously ive got my server to find the client. Now my question is i have a SMB truenas setup. Wondering which file directory to save the render. I cant get the render to start. I have a indie license btw.

      Glad to hear you figured it out. The hip file and associated dependency files must be located in a folder that can be accessed both by server and client. Hope this helps.

      Not sure about notch, but export will be vdb or native blender format. Hope this helps.

      hi, there's no tutorial, but its just a simple grid and edited to pull the end to create a backdrop. Assigned uv and uv quick shade. Hope this helps.

    I appreciate you keeping in the small mistakes because your narration helped me learn what to do when something isn't working correctly. Much more informative then showing a perfect step-by-step tutorial. I wonder if you could avoid inverting the world gravity and just changed the Field Weights on the smoke domain for gravity? Not applicable for this scene. But if you ever wanted to include other physics in it, for example, a rigid body, the gravity would be the "wrong" way for that. Thank you so much for taking the time to make this. I am going to use it to make a witches cauldron animation!

      Thank you very much for your kind words. Much appreciated. Yes, I think you should be able to not invert gravity but invert the field weights. Trial and error is how I usually get my results, use the same setup just doing the above instead, see how goes. I am happy to help and glad you find it useful.     My smoke has some obvious banding and stepping issues. I tried high resolution division, high sampling step and noise or no noise. I just can't get rid of it. It's really driving me crazy.

      Hmm, Not sur what's happening there, usually its resolution issue. Maybe check the scene scale & modify if possible. Hope this helps.

      It has better volume scattering than redshift. :) I think redshift has introduced this in their latest version now. :)

      Try rendering just the smoke, if its visible, then it should be visible through glass.
