similar in which events? i looked up to indian weddings and i didn’t see similarities

@@jiaxqisun5384 actually yes,the red thread they tied to couple's hand is very common in all Indian weddings. Then the groom walked behind the bride with a cloth connecting them & he had a sword in his hand too!!! This is exactly what happens here except that we take 7 rounds of the sacred fire altar(which is a Hindu thing & this couple was buddhist) Also,Both of them put a Garland of flowers over each other just like we do it Here in India,it is known as "Varmala". Also,the Namaste(greeting) gesture is exactly the same & I also noticed the boys carrying a stick on their shoulders which was balanced by two things on both sides. Can you tell me what that was? And the ladies dancing like Apsaras,also the dress of those dancing girls & even the general dress code of everyone matched a lot with us. Btw do you guys also do the Namaste to greet people everytime?

@@jiaxqisun5384 true but which Indian wedding are you talking about . India has many variety like Northern Indian wedding , South Indian wedding , eastern Indian wedding , north eastern Indian wedding and Kashmiri wedding

It's Khmer's wedding. In the old day, the wedding may take up to 3 days, but now Khmer tends to skip some events so it only take 1 days from the early Morning til mid night. Changing clothes depends on how wealth they are, but usually they change one per events. It's around 3 to 5 times or even more for the rich.

Not Tamil culture, this wedding have religions Hindu, Buddhist, and respect old people (old religion before Hindu come)
