Iditarod 2024 - Official restart in Willow, Alaska
I attend the 2024 Iditarod race to see the mushers and their dog teams take off for their 1,049 mile journey to Nome, Alaska. I wish all the racers good luck as they continue the long trek to Nome, Alaska and I was able to witness all the teams taking off for their amazing journey.

You can see moose, elk, grizzly bears, owls, foxes, musk ox, and eagles on a bus ride from Whittier to Anchorage, you can stop by the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center to see rehabilitated animals on their way to recovery.

It is an easy accessible waterfall very close from "South Fork Falls Trail" Anchorage. Barbara Falls is a short hike/walk for all ability levels. It is safe to walk around in this areas even in winter.

During winter 2024 I did an early morning sunrise walking around Barrow (Utqiaġvik) with local temperature of -25 with just a few cars on the street. Later took a taxi cab to take me to the Whale Bone Arch for the iconic picture of the frozen south coast of the Arctic Ocean and finally walked back to hotel.

Thanks for sharing this, it looks like so much fun! Quick question: how accurate was the "2 hours" they advertise? Reason I ask is there's another tour elsewhere I'm looking at doing later that day but I wouldn't have time to do that if this tour went any longer than 2 hours.
This tour starts at 10am, then I have a 2 hour drive to the other tour that starts at 2pm.
The whole experience is around 2 hours. 1- They talk about the dogs 2-prepared for the ride and hang out with the dogs, 45min 3- Sled ride 1 hr. 4-pictures at the end. It was an amazing adventure. Totally worth it.
