Learn to make Sapin Sapin in less than 5 minutes!!!
Sapin sapin is a Filipino dessert that consists of three layers of steamed glutinous rice cake with different colors and flavors, topped with toasted coconut curds called latik.
In a large bowl, mix glutinous rice flour, sugar, coconut milk, and condensed milk until smooth.
Divide the batter into three equal portions and add ube (purple yam) extract food coloring to one portion; pandan food coloring to another portion; and perhaps buko ( young coconut) to the last portion.
Grease an 8-inch round or square baking pan and pour the yellow batter into it. Steam for 15 minutes or until set.
Pour the white batter over the yellow layer and steam for another 15 minutes or until set.
Pour the purple batter over the white layer and steam for the final 15 minutes or until set.
Let the sapin sapin cool completely before unmolding and transferring to a serving plate.
Sprinkle latik (toasted coconut curds) over the sapin sapin and cut into slices. Enjoy!

Hello po! I made this today! Unfortunately mine was a flop! They kind of exploded, I mean the filling was oozing out.. What did I do wrong? Please help.. Appreciate it! Taste good still though..
You probably put too much filling or your filling was too wet. Thanks for wstching!
Another thing you can do is make sure the ends are sealed tight and should be facing down on the cookie sheet. Good luck on your next try and let me know how it turns out. Thanks!
@@wilmaandedd6694Thanks for responding! Yes, my filling was too wet and I also put too much! 😂😂 Trial and error! Will do better next time..
