We assure you that Redding Dragstrip takes the "tech" process seriously, and makes every attempt to ensure that racers follow all necessary rules and regulations. It seems a shame to us that if you saw something that you felt was worrisome that you did not bring it to the attention of the dragstrip or to Nor Cal Drag Racing. You should know that during races there are always plenty of staff and volunteers on hand to address your questions and concerns. As a matter of fact, the Nor Cal Drag Racing station is located behind the tower next to the staging lanes. In the future, we would all appreciate it if you would bring your concerns to us during the races. We cannot address your concerns or clearly explain rules and regulations if participants and/or spectators do not come to us.

Luis Terrazas...we are not sure who you are referring to, but these drivers were using the required gear. Seats belts are a requirement and you will not pass tech and be allowed to run if you do not have them. As far as helmets, they are only required at certain speeds; however, some racers elect to wear them anyway.
