I started donating power red about 2 years ago since I’m O + , the actual donation process itself takes about 40 minutes instead of 10 for whole blood . My iron is usually 14.5 , that’s why it was recommended to me . I’ve been donating about 40 years , total 30 units to date .

Oh my beautiful momma. She lost her battle on june 24th 2024. She was such a beautiful soul who loved her family and gardening, motorcycles and horses. I miss her so so much!! Im grateful to have this video to come too and see her. Thank you wind river chimes.

Thanks for the video. I have done "whole" but not "power red". My donation place has asked me to do power red because I am a good candidate they say. Did you feel any different in terms of energy level or were they the same. I am weak for a few days to one week after whole donation. Thanks.
In most ways, I feel similarly after power red or whole blood. The one difference I've noticed is that I need give myself a few extra days after a power red before heavy exercise (taekwondo classes, long cycling trips, etc). Power red removes twice the red blood cells, so I find that I do get out of breath more quickly. If I give myself 4-5 days of good rest though, I don't notice much difference beyond that. YMMV - if you are weak for a few days after whole blood, I would expect that to last a few days longer with power red.

Interesting question! We only tune the fundamental frequency of each tube... are you wanting to hear one tube at a time?

How long did it take to do the Power Red? Is the needle smaller?
Smaller needle and it takes about 40 minutes vs 10 for a whole blood donation. I’ve done double red blood donations 3 times so far .

@@windriverchimes As a A- donor being that only 8 percent of people have that blood type I feel even better about donating blood that if I didn't do it there would be a lot less of that blood type at least at the location that I donate at.

@@guitar-picker Those go together and give a more ethereal, whimsical harmony since they are a 3rd/6th apart. If you want a harmony more classical, we suggest chimes in G -- so Corinthian Bells 56" or 60" (quite large), or Arias 44" or Shenandoah 59" 🎶

Make sure your hemoglobin levels are high enough the minimum is 12.5 to donate normally and unfortunately bc I was only 12.6 I couldn't do power red which I was sad about bc im O-
I think the drum is part of a tabla pair called 'bayan' ( Hindi for left as its typically played with the left hand while the tabla is played with the right )

I too have Autism and your chimes are a real God send, when i feel stressed or anxious which is quite a lot, i play them as they hang upstairs on the landing. The sounds carry for ages, love them so much. Will be back for the 54 inch Corinthian bells soon.
