It took a few days for the clouds to clear behind Pittsburgh, but when they did, I was able to capture this timelapse of the moon rising behind the city. This time, the clouds helped to filter the moon and creating an amazing view.

Slow motion lightning in Pittsburgh - May 8, 2024

Around midnight on May 8th severe, tornado warned storms rolled into Pittsburgh. I captured over two dozen lightning strikes that night and also shot some slow motion video with my iPhone. Nicely done. It's difficult to get a midground and background exposure in those conditions nicely done. What settings for the camera and the long-exposure did you use? Just out of curiosity.

This was some of the most vibrant lightning I've seen since the 90s. You could read a book by it and not lose your place. We live in Carnegie and took the tornado warning seriously - the sky had a green tint at one point.
