Took me forever but I finally found the fix for my 97 Chevy Tahoe for this problem. Take the distributor off and the little rotor thing off and find the two little secret air vent holes.. What I did was use the little straw on the brake cleaner thing and sprayed underneath in the holes and over top to clean the screens out . Make sure everything is dry before putting it back together so it doesn't catch fire or something the brake cleaner is probably flammable. Did that like 8 months ago and starts every time no matter what even with this stupid rain pouring down every day almost.. Took forever for me to figure it out hope this helps somebody😎

The owner probably could have fixed this in an hour if they just spent a few hours reading online forums. There is over 20 years of data about TJ’s on Jeep Forums. Someone, Somewhere has had this same exact issue and it’s been documented on a forum.

Two rules for troubleshooting 1) divide the circuit / system in half, if possible, each time you test for the problem to eliminate and quickly narrow on the problem. 2) DON'T GIVE UP!! Keep working the problem!! EXCELLENT video and explanation. As you were reading the service report from the previous repar attempts it sure sounded like they were chasing the wrong problem or just throwing parts $$ at the customer.

Follow your video and was able to reinstall a after market motor and after some adjustments I was able to get in in and working correctly. The issue I ran into was was installing the plate on the top of the motor, with no pins on the aftermarket motor and only one small screw to hold down . I could not get tight enough and I striped it trying , was able to use the old holes for the pin and place a nut and bolt to secure the plate, Work !!! The info you provided was extremely helpful !!!!!!

The track bar might be a aftermarket heavier duty one but the ratio of the lengths track / to drag link is off you need a trac bar relocation kit that also allows you to run a more equal overall length for both of them that would and then proper adjustment of toe caster / pinion ratio would eliminate death wobble even without any dampener

E vap probably charcoal can

Im helping a friend with his 2013 Altima that has a wet front and back floor passenger side. If the sunroof is closed during rain how could the water get in? I looked for drain holes when the sunroof was open but did not see any.

Warning, once you take the rear transaxle case cover off, you will need to replace the Direct clutch drum assembly with a new from Toyota. There is 2 Teflon oil rings on the case cover that wear a small groves inside the direct drum to case cover oil seals. This will not be a problem until reassembled which cause a flare 2-3 shift. That wasn't there before hand. Depend on your location cost is approx. $330 added to the rebuild cost.

I would do all the usual suspects. Check the MAF, Vacuum Leak, Fuel Pressure (if low check the fuel filter, regulator, pump etc), O2 sensors .

My 95 C1500 5.7 TBI only does the CRANK/NO START when it’s HOT or at OPERATING TEMP. First start of the day or whenever it’s cool; it starts perfectly. Any suggestions??

That sounds like it needs a slight Valve adjustment too and I’ll bet it’s the rear bank exhaust valves for on these Honda J series especially the 3.5 VCM it’s usually cylinder 3 that causes most problems and has oil issues Honda really took a great engine messed it up 😡

very insightful video. Question - with you test light ground test procedure...if I connect a multimeter on dc volts, and connect the same way as you did with the test light, I should see battery voltage if the ground is good?
