Ford 3000 med laster påmontert heisekran.I bommen henger en Villiers mark 25/hs 2kw generator fra 17-06-1965 som er kjøpt fra forsvaret.som virker. måtte bare magnetisere selve generatoren før bruk.

Perkins 4108 ble varmet opp av Eberspacher hydronic 4.Slipper da å bruke glødepluggen (thermostart) i innsuget. Motoren varmer lugarer med vifteradiator under drift, Ebern varmer når jeg stopper motor.

Saga 27 på tur i Litjestraumen ved Ryøya ikke langt fra Tromsø, Det var den varmeste sommerdagen 5 August 2015. 22 grader Celsius ble målt denne dagen. Båten har en Perkins 4108 motor. Kjølinga på motoren ble testet, høg temperatur alarm er montert.

Alle traktorer på Bergum ble startet på traktorens dag ved Jektvika selv grønningen startet, men det ble brukt 24 Volt på startmotoren. Kompressoren ble kjørt.

Test av Dalen 1251 modifisert, på min Ford 3000 super 1974.Denne traktor har ikke gir på pto, må da bruke høgt turtall på motor for å få rett omd på saga.Iseki 2140 med gir på pto passer bedre på denne ved maskin.

I had a Vetus engine in a new barge I bought the engine was fine but changing the TMC gearbox with the ATF oil was a pain,I have a Yanmar with a PRM which uses engine oil so only need one type of oil on the boat.Also the PRM is so smooth going into gear and using the boat on rivers and canals you use the gearbox a lot,after 4350 hrs and 16 years the PRM still works flawlessly so does the Yanmar.
You just lay the dampening directly on the engine? That's the first time I've seen that done. I'm not exactly a mechanic, but I don't think that's a very good idea..

Wow iv never seen a thousand series so pimped out. great comfort mods if you have to spend all day every day in the thing .but on the heater demister hose I'd have an extra flexable hose to put inside my boiler suit for extra toestyness so if you get wet you could dry your clothes as you are wearing them.as well as builders hearing protector headphones with built in radio and Bluetooth.because try as you might you will struggle to sound proof those cabs enough to hear a normal stereo through car speakers. Without ruining your hearing.but rubber horse Matting offcuts can be cut in to sections to fill all the awkward holes in the floor and sides .using a cardboard stencil first and up around the mudguards held in place by self tappers.helps to retain a bit of warmth and comfort and I use old rubber innertube to replace the gaitors around the cab as well as a bit of Polly carbonate plexi glass on the rear but only put that on if the weather is absolutely terrible.you could have it so it folds or slides inside the roof of the cab when you don't need it .Power steering is also a must have with a loader.and that seat is a fair bit better.sensible mods to stop you feeling hard done by in the field.PS were is the turbo

Get a set of spare engine mountings as these ones will break very soon, trust me
have you had problem with vetus engine mounts?
@@galax650 , yes they break regularly, most vetus dealers keep them in stock, so that must tell you something, ( when I say mounts ,I mean the metal casting between the rubber flexible mounts and the engine block )

also why is both alternator and a generator on the tractor?
DaSavageFox 01 the genarators didnt carge that well so that why the alternator is there but the generator does count the hours and tell rpm thats why 👍🏼
I thought alternators and dynamos worked on opposed polarities so a dynamo and alternator working together to charge the battery would cause problems. I would imagine he has got two separate systems that dont interfere with each other?but I agree dynamos are not as good as alternators especially if you are running extra lights and a heater and a winch a dynamo would not cope
I would guess, so that he still has the tachometer drive.

No mention of the optional extra power assisted steering, window defogger, decent lighting and extra gauges. You must be planning to spend a lot of time in this. I love the mods !

I've got the same boat. The guy I bought it from built a cabin on top of the hull and now the boat has huge stability issues. Any suggestions besides ripping the top off? It's well built just way too heavy. Thanks
Try to calculate the extra weight mounted on the boat, and add corresponding weight to the bottom of the keel. First you can fill up the fuel tank and freshwater tank to max, and see how the boat behave on the sea. The boat have concrete as ballast,try carefully to remove some of the concrete and replace it with lead. When you add extra weight to your boat, of course, the speed drops. The hull shape of Saga 27 is initially unstable, this will be noted when you move in the boat. It will then change course. I have mounted autopilot to avoid this.
i have same size boat, perhaps a bit lighter but with same engine What size prop are you using? What is the cruising RPM? What is cruising speed?
Normal cruise speed is 8 knots at 2600 rpm. The gear ratio is 2:1 from engine to propeller shaft. Diameter of the propeller is 17x11 inches 3 bladed. But I prefer to run the engine at 2500 rpm to reduse engine noise. I have switched the engine in the boat to a 52 hp Vetus M4.56 (Mitsubishi industrial engine) and same propeller and gear ratio, se my last video.
Mekweld Hanssen thank you for taking the time to reply. For all the many hundreds of Perkins videos, yours is very helpful for putting the engine in perspective from a performance point of view. Mine is geared similarly but has a smaller diameter but perhaps higher pitch propellor. Loved your video. Thank you from Canada.

Vad ligger förbrukningen på med en sån motor?
Disel forbruket er 7 liter i timen ved 2600 rpm, har en tungdrevet propell. Denne motor skal kunne gå med maximalt 3600 rpm, men klarer ikke å få mer en 3000 rpm pga dreiemomentet. Normal gange er 2600 rpm.

Perkins motorene er kjente for å bruke litt olje. Saga 27 er vell drømmesnekken, har nylig oppgradert meg fra en Arendalsnekke på 21 fot til en Joda 24 med en Yanmar 33hk.
