I have a mk7 gti but i want one of these so bad 😂

Erm, Ive got a PP 7.5 and for me its not a hot hatch, at least not in the true sense of the word, yes its a hatchback, and it goes, but its to heavy, and not lively enough to be a hot hatch. True hot hatch is XR2, Xr3i, Citroen Saxo VTs, Clio 182, Civic Ep3 etc. Hot hatch should be light, twitchy. small and over powered, twitchy, with lift off oversteer, kart like. Golf gti is a great car dont get me wrong, but its no hot hatch.

Awesome cars 😀👌 My brother bought a new silver Golf 2 GTI 16V in the late 80's. I wish he kept it but he always only kept a car 2 or 3 years. I have a silver '03 Golf 4 GTI 1.8T and love it.

i had between 2016 untill 2018 a 190D 2.5 non turbo. 90hp but Previous owner did something to the fuel pump i think because it was quicker then a W124 300D. It had many issues like dashboard lights that are broken, also with new lamps and new cluster, nothing. a mechanic shop replaced all 10 suspensions arms in the rear axle, 1000 dollar job. After that i got rid of it. Some guy wanted to export it to africa. Be my guest.

I just bought a 1985 last Monday. Technically it's an 86 but it was built in 85 so I like to call it that 😂 Nevada Beige 1.6 CL with a grey interior. It's a piece of shit but I love it.

Why would you bother with a pile of scrap like that it's obvious the Mercedes engine will run but the metal work is unrepairable especially comming from Scotland a good engine but the rest is scrap 😮

Really enjoyed your little adventure. I also bought a W123e laid up for 10 years and had similar issues with running. Before throwing parts at it make sure fuel return is clear, it’s a smaller pipe than the feed and in my car was blocked solid with evaporated fuel varnish. Good luck!

I live in the states so I get the better 123s and 124s 😂. I got my hands on a 123 Sedan with the 300d and a 124 sedan with the inline-6 turbo diesel. The speed difference is out of this world. And I agree the 124 is underrated.

Don’t work on cars when you don’t have any notion how to work on them technically .. Stupid stupid stupid . Sorry to say but the end was very disappointing .

I think the MK 7 GTI is a great enthusiast car too (even though its called the Golf TSI GT) Ive managed to get 68 mpg (between 45-55 mpg in sport mode

I drove my 62 300SE with 6 cyl from high school in 74 until early 90’s. Kept maintenance up, oil changed regularly and had to replace rear air bags.

Loving the enthusiasm . When I was getting into motors (80s) these were just "cars" ....not classic cars. So happy to see there is still such a following for old VDubs that were designed for a 10 year n100k life. Couldn't tell you how many Beetles I scrapped in the 1980s. Dailying a W123 currently as ...the only sensors in the car are my four paws and the checks of my arse , the "brain" is in my head and ........I can still fix them without a computer or a parts cannon . Love your work guys.

Hugely useful cargo area. Among other things it could fit a single bed mattress, and a 14.5 cu ft chest freezer (had to take the door off). Completely flat cargo floor.

I brought in the first S cargo into Harwich back in 1987.. Bringing it from the importer depot to London was a nightmare.. It had an annoying tinky bell speed warning which was pre set for 60mph.... It was repainted and leased out to a bakery in East London...
