In this video, I show a week in my life working in PE / PC as opposed to just a day for the purpose of providing a fuller picture of what the lifestyle is like. In this industry, no one day or week is the same. Some you have to work longer hours and others you have the opportunity to take a breather. It’s about becoming accustomed to this kind of schedule and establishing a work life balance that works for you.

As an European with a 37-hours work week I would never want such a life for myself... Remember that you work to live, not live for your work.

As an analyst, do you have any face-to-face contact with clients? Is there any sales/negotiating involved?
As far as I understand, that’s more common with associates and roles above that, but analysts don’t get a lot of time with actual clients and instead do a lot of the ‘dirty work’
Nice video Nikita! Keep going. I'm also looking forward to establish a career in the PE industry, and I hope to hear some advice from you. In the meantime, as you mentioned you are preparing your CFA exams, probably I can offer some help if needed as I'm charter holder and I passed all exam in first try.

If you studied quant. finance, matgs and stats in university, then CFA is a joke. The professors of CFA institute are not scientifically qualified to teach graduates from STEM fields - they are failed professors from elite universities, failed scientists and academic researcher - they are the garbage collectors of academa.
Love the video, thank you for posting and great to see you back!!! I've taken this program and it really helped me with all the basics as well as more sophisticated topics needed to land a job in finance. Highly recommend despite a hefty cost, it will pay back immediately given the compensation levels in the field!

Very nice info vid. Couldn't help but notice you scored a living space in Manhattan. That is like winning the lottery if you're not paying an arm and two legs!. i feel that between step 2 and 3 there's the 2nd round phase which allows way more access to the VDR without having to sign an IOI but also is way more DD than step 2
