I believe senior programmers tend to avoid syntactic sugars because most of them are language specific. If you have a member who isnt particularly fluent in a specific language (trust me happens very often) then it might take more time to comprehend and thus develop/update

Hey broski I noticed you are selling yourself short on Linkein saying you have 5k followers on youtube. Also I see you graduated in 3 years (like I will end up doing). I'm in a spot where I am trying to get a first internship my second (of only two) college summers so I have some "experience" before a full time position. I am EE so I know the hire experience is a bit different but maybe you know something that could help: I am a rising second year (but junior, almost senior standing), I have only taken 2 EE classes so far, but this fall and spring I take 5 EE classes each, and I am signed up for a good VIP and may get into other clubs. Problem is job and intern interviews for summer 25 are at the end of the summer and early fall. How do I market myself to employers on my resume and in job interviews as someone with a lot of experience and EE class experience (which will be true by the summer), even through that is stuff done in the current year?

A go to step for me when learning a new language is to recreate a simple project that I've done before. My go to is an anagram solver but anything that involves memory management, data structures, file handling and other common concepts is good

Brendan Eich wrote JavaScript in 10 days, but that was only possible because he had a decade of experience writing system software and DSP software which is orders of magnitude than creating JavaScript was. Same thing with Git, Linus had 10+ years of experience working on Linux kernel and an intuition of how version control systems worked. Context is important.

One monitor is okay, you'll get better frames in games overall, but if you're mulitasking or programming / coding then you will want a dual monitor set-up. Its especially nice with discord or youtube in the background so that you dont have to tab out and in over and over
