Pretty much. But grabs are still pretty fast in strive, no? Afaik they just have recovery on whiff now. Although air throws should be pretty rare considering how limited air mobility is...

You already got the answer to that, lol. CVF has a lot of custom code to make itself work, characters included. You might have to code them from scratch to make it work.

Word from dev says it just won't work.

Only characters made FOR cvf. The main game has more characters than the screen can handle, so you have to edit in the other characters in the files. I'm pretty sure if you just drop karate man or zangief it won't work and might even break the bosses too...

@@UncleJunior1999 I kinda explained in that section already. You have the characters.def file in the data folder. You choose which character you want to be replaced, find his line, replace his name with the folder name of the character you want from the chars folder. So you could for example, copy Rusty's folder name, and replace grant's name with it in characters.def . So when you boot the game, she will be occupying his place in the selection screen.

It might look so when things go right and you finish them in 2-3 interactions. But pot doesn't have something substantial to properly cover him while he runs his RPS, it's mostly based on fear of PB and hammerfall, fear of the big damage in general. Hammerfall especifically, it's pretty strong, but you can just backdash before it hits and get a punish (if I don't frc on whiff), or even dp/super. The only thing stopping you from doing it is the possibility of pot doing break instead and baiting you for a big punish. It's different than with gunflame frc, fb disc or fb star. Even if you find a gap between the use of these moves, you can't simply disrespect them, you will trade unfavorably or straight up lose the interaction, you HAVE to hold the mix. Sorry about the wall of text, just felt like elaborating on that.
