The Best Islands in Phuket: Racha Island and Coral Island + Scuba Diving for The First Time
These two islands in Phuket are underrated and need to be on your itinerary the next time you travel to Thailand. Racha Island and Coral Island are more secluded and less busy islands compared to the well-known Phi Phi Islands.
🐠🪸 The corals here are well preserved, and hopefully they can remain this way for the health of the underwater environment and for future travellers to see.
RACHA ISLANDS 🏝️
Racha Yai and Racha Noi make up the Racha Islands, which are situated roughly 12 kilometres south of Phuket, Thailand. These islands are well-known for their vivid coral reefs, white sand beaches, and crystal-clear waters, making them a popular spot for diving, snorkelling, and relaxation. While Racha Noi is desolate and well-known for its deeper dive spots, Racha Yai, the bigger and more developed island, has lodging options and dining establishments.

Koh Hae, also known as Coral Island, is located 9 kilometres southeast of Phuket, Thailand. The island is perfect for snorkelling, diving, and water sports. As per the name of the island, it is well known for its beautiful coral reefs, crystal-clear waters, and sandy beaches.
