In this video I show you how tho check the level of solids in your septic tank to determine if it’s time to pump your septic tank. I show you how to use a shovel to check the crust layer and how to use a sock to check the sludge layer.
Where do I sing up for this job?
Should add a PVC "stinger" to the end of the hose. Makes it more manueverable and keeps the outside cleaner. Look up "Poor Pumper Society". He shows the what and how.
So, there actually is garbage collection. 😂 How much you want to bet 87% of that trash was thrown in there by democrat voters. Note- that guy does a job that is 1000x more important than any politician. Kudos to him.

We get the same problem with military personnel. There are signs everywhere, but they still do it.

@@btc4979 depends on how busy the area is. Most are once to twice a year. You can do some a few months apart. Winter time for me it slows down.
What is some of the things you find that don’t belong?
@Flushfax are pumps are made to suck trash and debris. Mostly people treat it like a trash can. You will find multiple bags of trash etc. I find a lot cell phones and wallets lol…

Not compared to what I saw. I saw something worse. I hate these toilets anyway. They are nasty. I once saw rats, bugs, squirrels, a skunk, and a possum in one!! I once saw a dead animal which I’m not sure what it was in one!!
You don't put trash in a normal toilet, so you shouldn't throw trash in one of these.
Yeah. I saw 4 today with nothing but poop, pee, but mostly trash and sand!!
I always my family always thorw toilet in the plastic grocery bag after clean up. So it don't clog free

I am so glad you posted this video. I have wondered for years how the pit toilets get cleaned. We have some at my local lake that smell horrible in the summer time and I know now that the pits are just not getting cleaned often enough. Our park has a trash can on the outside of the toilets by the door but I am sure that people dump trash in the toilets sometimes anyway.

The smell coming out of that is probably as bad or worse then a septic tank….ewwwwww
It's been almost 4 decades and I learned today how these toilets are cleaned. Mad respect to you for making it it look like it smells like flowers. I think the lack of awareness in this field doesn't help, if more people were aware of how you have to clean these toilets, maybe just maybe they might try harder to take their trash to the correct place. Maybe short videos on other platforms might create more awareness.

You would have wanted to strangle me and my cousin in the early 70s! I was 8 and he was 9. Me, Mom, my Aunt, and my cousins were having a picnic at a Benbrook Lake park (in Benbrook, a Fort Worth, Texas suburb). Me and my cousin visited a pit toilet at that park to take a dump. Before doing business, we gathered several rocks, and dropped them into the toilet just for fun! We never thought of any consequences cleaning crews would have to deal with. We probably thought Hey! No harm because it doesn't flush, and they'll just stay in the ground! They made a splash in the poop and pee!

This gentleman dresses nicer for his job than I do. Now I know how they are cleaned. Personally, I like to wander off (if on BLM land) and poop in the woods. That way it will be turned to mushroom food or whatever.

Are you worried about Animals getting into the vault?
Unfortunately we do occasionally find mice and even squirrels in the vaults. It’s best if people close the toilet lid, but quite often it gets left up.

I was always scared of these toilets, i felt like they led to a dark long deep pit that could instantly kill you, but then i realized it is just a pit but with a trapdoor

Yeah I am scared of falling in these toilets because once you fall in then there is no escape.

@@RollerSCoaster17 Somebody did recently fall into a vault toilet in Washington State. They were trying to retrieve their cell phone. They had to be rescued by the fire department.

I’ve found found a gold chain, several wallets, several phones, dentures. Just remember to remove your dentures before you puke in the toilet. I’m sure I’ve probably sucked up more jewelry just didn’t notice.
You guys are doing a great job teaching people not to put rubbish in the pit toilets I have just stated a NPO in the rural area of KZN South Africa its going to clean pit toilet and teach people how to look after their pit toilets I'm impressed I want to learn more from you guys pls be my Mentor

@@patiencekheswa5415 Ohh, I’m sorry to hear that. That can become a very serious health hazard. Are there any vacuum truck services in your area? And are these just holes dug in the ground where the liquid drains away or are these concrete or plastic vaults? A septic system with a drain field would be a better solution if it’s possible.
@@aardvarkwasteservices2079 All ready people are getting sick thus why I stood up and try something to help my community because last year I open a private company to clean these toilets but is so hard to find people who want to help so I didn't manage to buy a Vacuum Truck then it did work out as I planed.There are no such companies with Vacuum Truck in our area,these toilets are pit with no concrete the liquid sink into the ground contaminating the borehole water that people are drinking making them sick,so now the toilets are full of solids they need to be clean pls give me the tips how should in done in this case and other people please help me make a difference in my community
@@patiencekheswa5415 I’m so sorry to hear this, this is not good and May be very difficult to get fixed. It would probably be best to just abandon those pits and start doing composting toilets. If you abandon them they will dry up and stop polluting the water. Is there a way we can talk about this on the phone? I have some ideas but it’s too much to type.
