Brittney I just ran across your videos and now I have to watch all them to catch up!! I absolutely love working on vehicles and I’m actually building a 1969 Chevy K30 and a 1981 K30!! I am definitely not a big fan of fords but if I did have one it would have to be a high boy!!! One of fords older trucks!! My dad used to have one and I remember riding in it when I was under 10 years old and getting up at 1:00am every Sunday morning to go deliver the Sunday newspaper!! I also remember sitting in the passenger seat on a big stack of newspapers and dad ended up swerving to miss hitting a couple deer and he ended up hitting a culvert!! If I wouldn’t have been sitting on those Sunday papers I would have definitely went flying out the front window but since I was the news papers went flying to the floor board and I just ended up sitting just on the seat!!! We had to walk a little over a mile and a half to the closest farm house so that we could call for help!!! Awesome video and looking forward to seeing plenty more videos also!!! Remember to keep up all the hard work!!!

So, when you are using mothers Chrome polish you need to use either a smaller drill ball, or buffing wheel. Apply liberally and polish until you can see yourself when finished use your rag/towel to wipe clean. It will leave a residue on the surface. The buffing wheel you bought was for rims not body work.

You need the proper tools to polish that metal back up. You will not be able to do so with your hand. That power ball is an option, you just need to keep at it and apply pressure. Think of polishing like an intense scrubbing. You just can't put the paste on like you are wiping. You need to work it to eliminate the oxidation.

Love this series! I think Roman got me into CZcams, then watched yall's family videos for a while. I LOVE how open minded you are to mechanical stuff! Your dad is awesome, could explain stuff a little better, but you seem to pick it up pretty fast. I can see dad is used to getting the job done without explanation. I love it and hope it keeps going! Hey Brit, I have a small suggestion to help you cut costs on the project. Consider utilizing a dollar store Brillo pad containing soap, steel wool with Dawn dish soap, or vinegar. Both options will have amazing results. I applied this technique to my 1979 Ford F150, and it remains in excellent condition even now. I haven't had to deal with any of the chrome on my truck for around 2 years now. Edit: If you decide to use this method, make sure not to overdo it in one area, or the chrome may start peeling like on the mirror where the cloth got caught, even on the bumpers. Unfortunately, I had to learn this lesson the hard way.
