MakerFX BoomBike - Immerse Orlando 2021
zhlédnutí 91Před 2 lety
This is the next addition to the MakerFX Makerspace Brightbikes project. We created this functional 80's boombox/bicycle for the 2021 Orlando Immerse art show. I personally did all the metal work on the bike and boombox frame, made the illuminated epoxy BrightBikes logo on the back of the bike as well as other work on the boombox.
3 dimensional can crusher debut at Orlando Megacon 2021
zhlédnutí 425Před 2 lety
This is my latest creation, a 3 dimensional can crusher. When you Google "can crusher" virtually every hit is simply crushing a can in one dimension. This one reduces the can to a 1 1/4" cube. It has a 64 can magazine that autofeeds the crusher, uses pneumatics to do the crushing, then delivers the crushed can to the person that pushed the button. There are two buttons that need to be pressed s...

Early Citicar front disk brake caliper conversion. Since it it not possible to cut and paste the URL links in the video, you can find them by searching the following: Caliper, "Aliexpress new motorcycle rpm brake caliper". Hose "acdelco 184232" (I forgot the leading "1" in the video). Steel stock, "amazon steel key stock standard tolerance 1" thickness 1 1/2" width"

arduino temperature controller
zhlédnutí 85Před 6 lety
This was my first Arduino project. It is a temperature controller that monitors the temperature of a thermal solar panel and a large aquaponics fish tank. When the thermal solar panel is warmer than the fish tank, it turns a pump on to circulate the water. It also displays the temperatures in two different formats.

Igloo ice maker fix

Was having trouble with my counter top Igloo ice maker not making ice. The "add water" light was coming on even though there was water in it. The problem turned out to be a bad limit switch.

You mean the check engine light lol
Help! I have the same ice maker. It cycle's through but won't get cold to make cubes. The back metal...tubes are not cold. Is this the condenser? How do i fix this? Hoping you can help. I brought this to work and they love it and I want to get it working.
I’m trying to see if there’s a way to hack immune to get it to freeze less before it drops the ice. It freezes like 4x too long before dropping it…. Completely different ice maker though
You helped me fix it! Thank you! My confidence is boosted! You saved me so much time and money!! 😊
Great hack! A tad overkill maybe. I've been looking for a hard switched ice maker so i can add a smart plug but it seems that all countertop ice makers are made almost identically. After watching your video, I tried unplugging mine and holding down the power button constantly while plugging it in and it turns on and starts the cycle. I'm going to try and just short out that switch and see what happens, but i'm pretty sure it will work so I can say "Alexa, start boat ice maker" from the car and have a batch of ice ready for when we get there.
Achmed inside the box: "I KILL YOU!" 😂
nice job
Wowwww!!!!! Complimenti!
Hfhcb☠️👿😬!
It kinda reminds of a prop at Spirit would make in 2023 or 2024 especially with the moving head and eyes. Good job.
I prefer pointless skull crate than useless box.
Use the hand robot skull and useless machine
maybe you can get jeff dunnham to speak the text in achmets voice?
I love this man
Genio!!!
Lol awesome ✌️
Is that window motor from a blue Prius by chance?
Damn you
I LOVE IT!!!! AWESOME JOB AND DEMONSTRATION.
BEST useless box EVER! Well done, and don't tell me how long it took to get right, or I'll never get around to finishing the one I started to build for my nephews! 😂
Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! I thought it was aliiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiive!
I love it! Very creative and well-executed. Funny.
I love it! You could keep a kid busy for hours pushing the switch.
Y tho
I have a similar one, my route is like this: cover the small transparent led with tape and shine the black one to activate the motion. no damage to it. because whenever you cover one of the two leds, it stops making ice and telling full. and once the black one receive something it starts again.
Impressive work indeed. The mechanics are more challenging than coding. Please share the code.
funny
I wanna make one ....
here is the easy fix and no where in the owners manual will it tell u this. Two things you need to do. remove the backing to expose the pump hose. When it's unplugged and there is water in the bottom blow into the hose line until you hear bubbles being blown. This will clear out the line of any debris or air pockets. also inside the basin where the pump is there should be a little grate that pops off. Underneath that is a aerator which is a small circle with a screen on it which is the size of a dime. Guarantee you it has debris on it blocking thd water flow. This is the main culprit. Water not flowing properly will burn out your switches and everything else. I find it suspect that the owners manual mentions none of this. Trust me you do this your machine will function like it did on day 1.
forgot to mention that the little aerator slides right out. wash it under water and place back. any questions let me know.
So many of these units and their clones have that exact same limit switch damage issue. You'd think they'd have reengineered it by now to fix this problem for good.
Mine may have got fried from a power surge recently. Do you know if these have fuses in them that may have protected against that. It will no longer power up. Let me know, thanks
Thank you so much for the info. I’m all thumbs, but followed your advice and fixed it first time. The water sensor was corroded.
This is the cutest thing ever! What would be super cute is when you open the covers to show the mechanics, you should make him pop up and say, “AAAAAAAGGGH! WHY AM I NAKED?”
Useless box with skeleton
Wow
I think it would scare me shitless if I had this as a kid
I took the mirco controller/board out and it has a burn between r6 and t1. I can’t find a new or old on on google anywhere. Some help! Lol
As has been mentioned by others, the pins are supposed to be sliding to allow the caliper to float. These are Cleveland Cessna 152/172 calipers, and replacements are expensive if yours are pitted. I also found that the springs fitted to the caliper to pull the pad away from the rotor (to reduce drag, increasing range) tended to cause the piston to tilt in the bore, becoming stuck.
So I took the calipers off my Citicar yesterday, they were STUCK STUCK and I had to use heat to pull them off. The heat also brought about a very interesting discovery, the pins that the caliper bolt to are supposed to be free floating in the knuckle! On my car (and I suspect yours as well) the pins are (were) corroded in place and would not slide properly/at all. Machining a caliper adapter that slides on these pins opens the way to a failure mode where the pins come loose and slide out of the knuckle and the caliper adapter, letting the caliper fall off the car. I like your solution with motorcycle calipers, the stock calipers have other design issues. I'm going to follow the same road, but I will machine my adapters with shoulders just like the stock calipers so that the pins would slide out.
Just bought brand new and it isn’t working at all!!
That's brilliant...I love it !!!!!
Here before use ger recommended
That exactly what mine is doing but it's a Costway, looks just like this though. Thank you soooo much
What was the last thing it said or was it just screaming
Imagine a 4 year old encounters this in his dads workshop
BRILLIANT thats what it is
well that is cool , smart idea
Very cool!
What a great project! Now I've half a mind to build something similar with TTL and transistors (and an analog voice chip).
Looks like stop motion.
