If you want them to look even closer use something like calman studio, make a 3d lut calibration on the one you want to use as reference. Then measure the whitepoint of the reference monitor. Use that for your other monitors as whitepoint and make a 3d lut with the whitepoint of ref monitor. Easy peasy. (Also handy if you got multiple different monitors) to get it as close as possible

No denying the jump in quality to the R5C setup, but for the size/cost the Pocket 3 is truly amazing

Amazing review.. lots of my questions answered… just curious about Rf 28-70 F/2 … where it stacks up??? If someone is going with 24-105 F/2.8, is it worth to get some fast glasses like 1.2 or 1.4 or 28-70 F/2 is enough.,, Much appreciated 🙌🏻

Have you tried the PZ-E2 or PZ-E2B motors for remote Focus control? And is there an App to control Zoom and Focus?

I tried using a R6II on the RS3 gimbal. Immediate nogo with the eye piece hitting the roll arm when i tested, but i might have left the tripod foot in and the 100gram might have offset it alittle. But with a heavier body like the R3 or with a battery grip should work

As someone considering the RF 24-105 f/2.8 paired with a RED cine camera, this is the best review yet, though I am not certain of some tests like parfocal where it is unclear if the parfocal capability is “active” - under electronic control. The optical performance, where no digital corrections can be a factor on RED are much more reassuring. I would like to see a review directly testing all these same factors on an 8K RED V-Raptor X camera, however.

very good review Stu, the parfocality of the 2.8 seems more than good enough to settle any worries I had. Agreed on the pricing of the servo unit, it's far too high a percentage of the lens' cost itself. Shirt was on point too, and west country accent turned up to 11 made up for Lee's absence.

As an amateur hobbyist photographer, I find the price ludicrous. I don't shoot video, but if I did, I'd drool over the 2.8. Looks like a fantastic video lens. I suspect lots of pros getting this one.

I laugh at people who are protesting against it. It's going to be the standard within a few years. All cameras. All recorders. 32bit is not going away. All of Zoom's new recorders (even the small ones) are 32bit. It may take cameras a couple of years, but I think the demand will grow. For me, it's not as much about clipping as it is nice to not have to futz around with gain levels. To just hit record and not worry if your gain was too low or high.

Agree with your 10 Things but will add the C70 has more than 14 stops of DR. It's 14 in Clog3 but in Clog2 it's 16+. That's Canon's spec but my experience has borne that out as I'm sure yours has as well.

You guys have a interesting perspective. Just bought a C70 - no regrets. I went into it with both eyes open about it's strengths and weakness. FYI - SD cards with the read/write necessary for 4K ain't cheap- don't understand how you see that as a plus. Also, the mini XLR's are hardy anything to get gaga about - they are tolerable, but not preferable to full XLR's

That was excellent guys and thank you for putting this together. I have a Mavic 2 Pro and a Mini 3 Pro. As an amateur I couldn’t justify buying anything more expensive and am focussed on getting the best out of what I’ve got. If I ever reach the limit of what these incredible drones can do then I might upgrade but it’ll be some time away👍

Opening a video about our best accessories 2023 finding out only 2 accessories and barely talking about one of them really make me feel cheated. I just put some smpte color bars on the screen and adjust by eye. It's just for reference after all. That's how we did all our monitors for years when I worked at a TV news station.

You should do the same test but with internal codecs

Thanks for this Camera Chaps. I've got a Shinobi, but i stopped using it because the colour was soooo warm i found it distracting. I wanted to calbrate it, but found that i needed a special cable (probably the one that you've got) and found that it would cost me just short of £100! Way too much for a cable like that. I ended up buying a SmallHD monitor which i absolutely love. However i still use my Shinobi occassionally but only for basic jobs where colour isn't so critical. Is you cable one of the £100 Horror cables? (Also, i'm going to subscribe becasue you seem like nice chaps and i'm always up for new insights. I'll also give you a 'like', although i was a tag hesitant because of the crazy shirts 🤣) Thanks. I'll look forward to the next vid.
