Will it hit one of those clamps? Interesting work-holding setup. This video is from 2019 when I made a new bunk bed for our kids. The dowel holes are for attaching the interior vertical pieces of the headboard.
Modify IKEA shelf for smaller boxes

Project history: sortingshelf.tumblr.com My kids like to organize their LEGO bricks in the smallest 20x30x10 cm TROFAST boxes (700.914.12). The wall storage unit from IKEA only has room for six. So we cut the tall 10-box shelves to half width, now we can store 20 of these boxes.

I did basically the same thing, but found it too loud and abandoned it.
Это реально интересно но крайне не практично! Встречное трение шариков друг об друга, Износ + нагрев, шум, вибрация! Простые ролики с двойными подшипниками в которых между шариками есть сепараторы самый оптимальный вариант.
Sick of the job crap videos, You can just order linear bearings online for quite cheap that will do the job properly
Very nice. Thanks for the video. Very informative!
Hi Johann, how are you doing and how is your machine progressing? Finally managed to put mine together now as well - did take quite some inspiration from your design 😊 czcams.com/video/FRHMMGDMjuQ/video.html
Just found you from a link on Marlin--->Wikipedia and was curious after reading you lived in Seattle (North Tacoma here...) So have you moved on from 3D printing then? If so, that's a shame. Your work on the prototypes sounds amazing! I always find abandoned blogs just a little bit sad.....as if a death occurred or something. Esp when new to the reader....then finding it's not been updated in nearly 10yrs.
The orange arms are just out of this world 🤩..what’s the material ? Of cos the accuracy 👍👍Weldone bro. Awesome
Wtf is this? Why not use rollers instead of balls?
Is this something you are trying to sell? I have interest in purchasing one
hello it wasgood and could you make a new video for the newest version of kiri moto I'm a little lost on how to use it for a cnc machine
Hi there. I was curious if you could tell me of what material you made the conveyor belt? I'm trying to make somthing similar myself, but I'm not really finding something that works for me until now. I was hoping you might help me with that!
Is there any photo or making video of this
Been trying to reach you via email... please reply :)
Awesome rolls! Looks a great place to practice
Hello Johann, how is your Lego sorting machine doing? Good luck with the build 👍
polymer (delrin) balls will never give the strength of balls made of zirconium oxide. the more brittle the material is, the higher the precision it gives. plastic balls will lower your accuracy by a *LOT* !!
Really great idea with the mirror - capturing two perspectives with a single camera 👍

Hello Mr Johann Rocholl You are the developer of Kossel and Rostock 3D printers. I am blessed with that benefit. Thank you
Great job. Unfortunately, the Makerbot is not large enough for the last version. What printer did you use?
Very nice saw that first at Richard Hornes site!
are u sharing the files for these?
Johann - I am curious to know if you are using any AI with the photos of the Lego bricks you are taking with the Raspberry Pi camera in your sorting algorithm? Is it based on just color sorting or are you sorting by the types of pieces?
Owned many production printers but the first one I built(kossel mini) was the best print quality still to this day 7 years later. Would love to see a XL version IMO COREXY is inferior to a good delta.
Do you still have the model for the April '20 Version? (The orange one)

Gday, How are you processing the image with the mirror? are you using python cv for image detection? Ive wanted to change my setup to include a mirror to catch depth, not sure the best way to capture the top and side view then resize it to 224pixels for image training..Originally i captured only an area of interest around the block to ensure the lego block took up most of the camera frame, this isnt possible with the mirror as i will have rectangular image
Are you working on this project? Interested to learn more about this prototype.
Well done! I agree with the previous post in that your designs appears to be far more effective than the setup that comes with the machine. What about using magnets to mount the acrylic window? This would allow quick and easy removal. Could free up more space when changing bits.
Good idea! I wanted the acrylic to be relatively thick and firmly attached as a safety screen in case of bit breakage or projectile wood chips. But neodymium magnets + epoxy might be strong enough.
This is insane. Looks like it has better functions than normal printers.
Did you ever try using these in a 3d printer?
i want to build one of these but where is all the instructions and step by step? thanks
how did i end up here
Hey nice flap! I am curious to know what you draw your parts on. Cheers!

This is pretty cool. Thank you for sharing it with us.
Very nice idea! Do the balls run in the slot? It was a bit hard to see.
Maybe some Vaseline will cancel the rest of the sounds? Otherwise how much load can it handle?
Johann, thanks for highlighting Kiri:Moto! Did you know you can use arrow keys for basic 90 degree rotations? shift + arrow key rotates 5 degrees.
Build a kossel because I saw your videos long ago. Subscribed ever since, nice to see new videos. I'm on a project of building my own smart blinds for home assistant from scratch. Really challenging to come up with all the aspects of a project yourself, but satisfying when it works.
Nice to see that you still inventing. Music is a bit too loud and voice is too low. Hope you find your way back to 3d printers sometimes i love your kossel Design.
Feels very smooth, but a little noisy.
Wow! Nice work!! Your design looks significantly more effective than the boot that comes standard. It would be awesome if you published the 3d model somewhere like www.thingiverse.com/ Hopefully I'll get to try it out soon!

Next step is to make them circular, and a a cage to locate the balls. Hang on- that is a ball bearing! Guess I will just use a couple of those. As most manufacturers do...
These look like some great designs. Are you releasing the CAD or mesh files?
