Hi Ali , I hope you and Gerald are coping with the hot weather you are experiencing. That was interesting when you propogated the mother in laws tounge from a leaf cutting. I didn't know you could do that and I look forward to an update later on to see how well it worked. Your black lillies look fantastic. Your garden is looking great at the moment. You just put an organic sweet potato in soil on its side , & it produce’s so many slip I have some I’ve done that way doing great & some that I ordered Much easier to start in winter & have slips ready for spring You’ll love it 😊 A lot suspend the seeet potato in water & produces as well The soil method has worked better for me though 💚

Eating all those strawberries was a tough job but someone had to do it. 😁It's strange that you are seeing colder temps than normal as we are in the UK. I think all gardeners are hoping for normal temperatures to return ASAP. I haven't noticed any leaf miner problems yet but my onions are not having a great year. I saw the bumper crop of silverskin onions you got in a recent video. Very impressive. I will pass on your best wishes to Dalila. Take care TTFN

Hi Ali, I wish I was that quick at weeding 😁. I think there is some improvement with Dalila's shoulder. She was able to do a spot of weeding and strimming the grass last weekend. I'm just back from another day at the allotment but there was no filming today. Take care. TTFN

Good luck with that Mark. I know other people chit parsnips before planting the seeds and they are successful . I dont know about growing them in containers as they have quite a long tap root but please let me know how you get on. Good luck

I grew some in the 30l container wise pots last year successfully, but sowed the seeds direct. I’m using the same seeds this year so I wanted to prove germination.

All of a sudden there is not enough hours in the day. 😄. At least with the good weather and light evenings I can do some gardening after work. Take care Ali.

Hi, Ali, I hope you enjoyed your camping trip. I know what you mean about having to cover everything but i refuse to make it easy for the critters. I am going to go full chemical and biological against the slugs next week . I've got some nematodes and cheap beer for them.😂 Dalila is still in a lot of pain and her shoulder is not healing fast. I think we are all hoping for some improvement soon. I helped Dalila plant her potatoes in pots so she is very pleased that they are planted. Take care and have a great week.

I am hoping the raised bed I am growing them in will protect the strawberries from slugs and snails and that the it takes the vine weevils a while before they realise there are plants there. I hope you enjoy your crumble, don't forget the custard.

Hi Ali, you are wise to take care in strong winds as you don't know what can get blown around to injure you. I might go up the plot tomorrow but it is really raining now. I saw Dalila this morning , I dropped her off some seed potatoes. She is still in a lot of pain and struggling to get a good nights sleep. I know what you mean. Last year I had a lot of problems last year getting in and out of bed. I just hope she manages to get some sleep as it's all part of the healing process.

Hi Ali, yes there has been some improvement with Dalila. She text me yesterday as she managed to put her hair up which is more than I can do. More torrential rain today but I had the day off work. So eye test in tje morning, lunch in town then spent the afternoon in the cinema. Perfect way to start the week and only 4 work days before the weekend. I hope you and Gerald are well and not letting the poor weather get you down. Hopefully not to long to wait till spring fully arrives. 🌧🌧🌧
