The amount of little interactions between everything is insane! I had a spike trap push a bear trap on me... i could do nothing but laugh. Also never throw a lizard at quill back
Its amazing the frequency that you can die in unexpected ways in this game
gotta love how 50% of the runs end because of things that aren't even your fault except in multiplayer, where it's closer to 80%
all of these deaths are player error tho lol
@@YYY66767 a lot of deaths in spelunky 2 don't really feel like they're your fault. in the dwelling alone you can die to: - lizard combos - arrow traps that were on screen for less than a second - spikes if you're not good at platforming or got hit by an arrow from the aforementioned traps - bats messing up your jump resulting in a spiky death - moles - quillback - and general random jank like yang getting angry a turkey killed itself and taking it out on you
@@phasi2182 I agree with the arrow traps sometimes being unfair and yang being stupid (but also pretty easy to kill with no repercussions in doing so). The rest of those are skill issues though
@@YYY66767 just because they can hypothetically be avoided with enough skill doesn't make them fair what makes them unfair to me is how harsh the punishment (run ending) is for the smallest of mistakes like a simple platforming error gets you bitten by a bat which causes you to fall on spikes. you could have 99 health and still lose the run
@@phasi2182 agree to disagree i guess. but this game is about risk/reward calculation and being able to identify potential dangerous situations before you're put in danger. if youre not being careful near spikes when there's enemies there then that's not the game's fault if you die.
