Gioia - "Then in 1985 we got together." That's a flat out lie! The original Exposé - Alejandra "Alé" Lorenzo Laurie Miller Sandra "Sandeé" Casañas are the original Exposé who were known as "Ex~posed" back in 1984 and released their first 12 Inch Single on the Pantera label called "Point Of No Return " in 1984. Arista signed the group and in 1985 recorded and released "Exposed To Love". As they began to record their first album, Alejandra Lorenzo decided to leave the group. While on tour, Jeanette Jurado was in a group that was opening for Exposé. Alejandra and Laurie Miller were impressed with her singing and recommended her to their Producer Lewis Martineé who signed her to replace Alejandra. Gioia was hired to replace Sandra Casañas. Laurie Miller decided to leave the group so Ann Curless was hired to replace her. What I find so disgusting is that Jeanette, Gioia and Ann refuse to acknowledge the original Exposé! They are three ingrates! I'm especially disgusted with Jeanette since she was personally selected by Alejandra and Laurie to replace Alejandra! She was given a chance at stardom without having to put all the work and effort that Alejandra, Laurie and Sandra did for three years of touring! The excellent track "Exposed To Love" was never re-recorded because it is so good. It's included on the "Exposure" album. The original recording of "Point Of No Return" by Alejandra, Laurie and Sandra was also included on the "Exposure" album but was later replaced by the re-recording done by Jeanette, Gioia and Ann. There are other tracks which include both Alejandra and Laurie's Vocals on the "Exposure" album.

I don't think the 90's MMC gets the recognition it deserves for introducing soooo many young folks to R&B and soul. The Disney Channel was a paid, premium cable channel at this time. MMC was promoting many R&B and soul artists and even put out its own original R&B influenced single at one point with Rhona "Ms. R&B" Bennett on lead. "Real Talk" was my joint back in the day. The 90's MMC is totally underrared. Its impact on the entertainment industry will end up being downright legendary.
