Not a bad outcone considering the Ford has roughly 40 more horsepower and 160 more lb. ft. of torque than the outgoing LML.
The Fords also riding on larger and heavier wheels and tires and that's not just dead weight, its rolling weight which accounts for a lot.

Not knocking Chevy, but the Ford has bigger aftermarket wheels. It would have been interesting to see what would happen if the Ford had OEM wheels on vs the Chevy. Cool little run though.
the 4" lift and 37's will explain that outcome lol, put 37's on a duramax and it can barely get out of its own way
