Well in L.A. (where I grew up of course), the Lakers did TV and radio simulcasts for many years up until the end of the 2003-04 season. Lakers fans like me didn't mind it at all when Chick Hearn was calling those games before his passing in 2002. It was a unique experience, especially for those in the Southland who dialed up their car radios to hear his iconic voice. The late Vin Scully did Dodgers games on both radio and TV for the first three innings, before shifting to TV only for the remainder of the games he called until he retired in 2016. I know the late Rick Jeanneret of the Sabres also did TV and radio before he retired, and my Kings recently went the simulcasting route with Nick Nickson on the call. I'm sure simulcasting wouldn't be that bad for the Penguins as long as Josh Getzoff is still doing it. I'll admit, he's been doing a great job calling those games.

Lemieux's last playoff series was originally Philadelphia. Then Messier and Gretzky played their last series against Philadelphia. Then later Brian Leetch played his last series against Philadelphia. Wow

I attended this playoff game with my father and during the moment of silence for Dan Rooney, I had my head bowed in prayer for the Rooney family. When Ryan Mill said we thank you, I made the sign of the cross.

This was the last real shot those penguins had. Lemieux would be gone then Ron Francis was gone the year after

If you look at FSG, Red Sox, Liverpool FC under their ownership has not done well. FSG signed Sullivan right off the bat to an extension, so he's not going anywhere. With a lot of no movement clauses on players, Dubus will have to be creative in the off season. Sounds like Todd Reirden is staying and Jarry in goal next year.

The Rangers had no chance in this series at all, The Pens depth and speed were too much for them to handle and it showed in this game 5. I'll never forget during the second intermission, after The Pens blitzed the Rangers for 5 unanswered goals, four in the second period, Mike Milbury, who we know doesn't like The Penguins, was asked what The Rangers could do to get back into the game in the third period and his response was, "absolutely nothing". This team was a buzzsaw going into the playoffs that year, and you just knew no one was going to stop them.
