If I am not mistaken, the last movie you showed, Robocop, is the only one in this video I have seen (And have on Blu-ray). I think I haven't even heard about most of these movies! Just shows how little there's overlap between our tastes. For example I absolutely adore classic Doctor Who! (I don't care about new who). Classic Doctor Who and The X-Files are my most favourite TV shows ever. Both so awesome, but in completely different ways! For this reason these are interesting videos because I know hardly anything about these movies you own.

Vangelis scored Blade Runner. Jan Hammer scored Miami Vice. Giorgio Moroder scored the 80s re-edit of Metropolis. Oh boy, The Killer Shrews. Now that is a bad movie. I first heard of it from Ashens' old video 5 Rubbish Movie Monsters, where he described the giant shrews as 'dogs in rugs'.

I just read the "Enemy Mine" story, it showed up in a paperback collection of award winning sci-fi (1980s?) novellas. Really good, now I'll have to track the movie down!!

I remember the All Saints film, it was an absolute load of toss. And I never found their music interesting either, it was a bit dreary and moody in my opinion.

I haven't seen Three O'Clock High either, but I have the soundtrack CD by Tangerine Dream. It is not among their best soundtracks to be honest... The Terminal is such a great "feel good" movie, but misunderstood and underrated imho. The Terminal might even be among my top 10 most favourite Spielberg movies which is saying a lot considering how astonishing his filmography is!

I have seen that film with All Saints and I'm sure I have a copy in a cupboard. My only memory of the film is that one of them got shagged at a dog track 😆

Space camp has a Blu-ray but it’s oop and it goes for $70.00 to $150.00 US dollars

Hollow Man was one of the first DVDs I owned, and it was only because it came free with my first DVD player. I watched it twice, and that was only because I found the special effects quite impressive at the time. For me, Kevin Bacon is just downright cringey in it.

You should easily be able to pick up a copy of "Space Truckers" - there's a UK blu ray release from Second Sight. I need to investigate "Noah's Castle" - I've never heard of this tv series before. Really enjoying these trips down memory lane with your DVD collection - Walt.

Love these long videos, got some good recommendations just off this part 1 so gonna watch them all!

I'd also love to see a better version of _Day of the Triffids_ btw. Apparently a fellow by the name of Mike Hyatt had spent from 10 to as many as 30 years working on a meticulous restoration of the film from the original camera elements, but sadly he passed away earlier this year. Hopefully all that work has been preserved and will eventually result in a beautiful new transfer when/if it ever gets completed.

Do you have a catalogue of your collection? I'm not sure if you try to keep them in any particular order but it must be tough trying to remember what you own and where it is.

I watched The Peacekeeper the other week. Decent but daft Die Hard clone. It was directed by Frederic Forestier.

I quite like Saturn 3 and I have German Blu-ray of it. Space/sci-fi movies of 70s and early 80s are definitely my thing. I also like Roman Polanski's movies. He is very good visual director and nows how to use camera.

Recently watched Strange Days, excellent future past thriller, I kinda like Sci Fi movies which get the future a bit too advanced - 2001/2010, Blade Runner, Space 1999, just goes to show 'don't count your chickens' and Team America is more an attack on Hollywood than it is on terrorism which is never more deserved as it is now.

I have so many dvds and blu rays in my living room, I have trouble finding a place where to sit and see the tv screen. So you have nothing to worry about

Great video as always, we have the same taste. Do you like the shows Vicious and Blacks Books? My wife loves Mrs Browns Boys and Open All Hours/ Still Open, but it’s so hard to find British Tv comedies on physical media in the US. BTW that spider was HUGE, thought it might have been a mouse at first! Lookin forward to part 5

The interest for me about your videos is that I have never heard of maybe 90 % of the movies you show. People really do have very different tastes. I think the first Halloween movie was the only one mentioned in this video I have on Blu-ray myself (and like). That Princess Bride cover art is insanely good! That's one movie I have never seen. I hadn't even heard about the movie a few years ago, but I have watched CZcams videos by movie collectors as yourself and everybody seems to love this movie, so maybe I should see it and find out what's the fuzz about? Your Graveyard Shift copy is Dutch. I don't believe a Finnish/Nordic release even exists. It would have been hilarious, if the big spider showed itself while you where showing the Spider-Man collection!🕷

Innerspace, really nostalgic film for me. I first saw it when I was about 7 years old and it was a bizarre concept for young me, but I still loved it 🙂

Keep meaning to re-watch Nighthawks, I remember I used to really enjoy it when I was 12, incidentally, I re-watched 'F/X' & 'F/X 2' last week - late 80's nostalgia fest...I enjoyed The Thing Underwater - Leviathan though DS6 was a good watch too and of course they all stem from The Abyss, not so much a fan of Cocoon but like a good water movie...

Really enjoying these collection overview videos. You have a nice collection and you seem to be quite knowledgeable about certain stuff (such as who directed what). I also admire your restraint in sticking with the DVD format and not being so overly eager to upgrade everything to 4K.

1st Series of Black Adder is the best...imo, plus Dragonslayer has had a major recent 4k release.

Great stuff with that Evil Dead Anchor Bay tin edition.. I used to have that one along with the Hellraiser and Beyond releases they did for them 😎👍
