Alot of people do because it works really well. It's also less expensive than the cleansing oils. They have been around for a long time for a good reason.

It was founded in 1946, though, so even though it’s still popular now it definitely had mom/grandma origins. Using Double Wear is a bad example by them, because it wasn’t used way back then!

We live in rural WV i always give a set of simple oil lamps. Lots of power outages so they always come in handy. Friends who have been married over 20 years still have and use them. Never on the registry, but always useful
