Marvelous!!!
Mozart’s ‘Dissonance’ quartet, mentioned in the description, ‘infamous’?
Excellent.
Fantastic performance of some of the worst and most ridiculous and most incredibly good music ever written.
It looks like a viola
I know this is years after it was recorded but you both did an awesome job interpreting these beautiful pieces. They are so difficult: Sophia, you meet each of the technical hurdles with well-crafted skill and share the texts with heart and understanding; Grant, you truly make the most of each musical gesture and dynamic. Great job, both of you. I hope you have gone to onto your careers with much deserved success!
The best Arabesque I have ever listened to! So beautiful!
A performance not to be forgotten by a truly gifted pianist.
Within seconds my heart told me I was in for an exeptional musical experience, do emotional, so inspired, Beethoven lives.
Beautiful. I hope your career is flourishing.
2:57 Schumann, Robert Arabeske, Op. 18 12:20 / 24:15 / 33:48 / 37:06 Schubert, Franz Sonata in C minor, D. 958 48:28 Schubert, Franz Fantasie in F minor, D. 940 1:13:05 Chopin, Frédéric Waltz in A-flat major, Op. 42 1:17:46 / 1:22:56 Chopin, Frédéric Andante spianato et Grande polonaise brillante, Op. 22
Klassik
This graduation recital is, even for the prestigious Curtis Institute, beyond my expectations. Beautiful, stunning and captivating at the same time.
Absolutely fabulous! 👏👏👏👏👏
Bravo to everyone!!
Wonderful!
Great performance of the Chopin Ballade in F minor. I enjoyed it throughly. God bless you.
Un deleite para el alma esta obra del genio Mozart y excelente su ejecución por los 3 músicos.
I loved singing these. Great to hear them again Beautifully sung.
Super interpretation
You are such a wonderful Trio. Would it be Ok for me to send you a link to my 4th Piano Trio for you to listen to? I also have scores of my arrangement of Vivaldi’s Four Seasons if this is of interest.
They seem so young to me and they are already amazing musicians.
This is The Curtis Institute, you pretty much have to be a genius to get in there.
Es una verdadera maravilla
Great job!
Wonderfully performed, ahhh very beautiful indeed. So often overpowered and "noisy" both on record and live, but here the quintet is kept within the realm of true chamber music. Within, without limits! Less is more, as always. A treasure performance, the ensemble shall be very proud of their hard work to reach this level.
Ironically, Chopin's funeral march is an immortal piece of music!
Congrats to the audio tech! You knew exactly how to capture the sound these 4 people produced. Right mics in the right place. Well done indeed.
100% agree, sounds like we're in the room
Big props to the audio tech. Best mics to use, and you put them in the right place exactly. Very old fashioned nowadays to actually KNOW what you’re doing. Congratulations.
Fabulous Waldstein! Thanks ❤😂🎉❤
Fantastic pairing between both of you... so musical together. Thank you for sharing!
❤
Frank Peter Zimmerman recommended this piece as the most essential type of music

I am loving the appreciation and love Schubert is receiving. He deserves all that and more. Thank you for the performance.
13:43 lmao the cellist
based George Crumb
This is an attractive and instructive performance. It demonstrates the difference beween timing and tempo. The former is wonderful, the latter needing attention. The pianist has musicality and communication with both the music and the audience. I wish you would come to Berlin and perform here to an audience that will receptive to your unique playing !
It doesn't even sound like 4 instruments. It just sounds like 1 big string instrument. Bravo
9:00 <--- you're only interested in this part onwards. you're welcome.
I really shouldn't be so surprised and impressed that Curtis graduates play so well, but these performances really do leave me in awe. Congratulations on the remarkable rendition!
Bravo
This is absolutely gorgeous
Dear Trio, I would like to send you my new piano trio. Could I send you a link for you to listen to please? Neil Crossland
Allegro 2:06 Adagio 3:42 Vicace 5:00
Hats off to the pianist. Incredible work there as well.
4:52 They Came a Wind Like a Bugle
Love the cellist’s attitude 🥹
To the person who makes a special appearance at 10:45: "The occasional concertgoer seems determined to be the very first to applaud or shout “bravo!” at the end. It’s especially jarring after a quiet ending. Don’t be that person." -- Scott Cantrell, music critic at the Dallas Morning News (Jan 12, 2024)
