Aurora Borealis 2024-05-10
Celestial Dance - After a lifetime of hoping for a good time and place to see the Northern lights, we finally were showered with the most amazing dancing display… our first time seeing them was just breathtaking! We drove north just over the border into BC Canada from Bellingham, Washington USA last night around 10 PM to set up cameras in a little dark farm field, and we were overwhelmed by the vast dancing lights… absolutely stunning! As a kid I envisioned Mother Earth with a shield battling the rain of gamma particles. This music video is a collection of some of the photos and time-lapse videos I took with my Canon DSLR and my GoPro. The music is an old Steampunk space-fantasy piece I wrote years ago, which seems to fit perfectly.
Here's the original back-story for the music, "Metamorphosis - NGC6302": Wings of Chaos, Wings of Beauty. H. G. Wells awakens from cyber-sleep in the "Chrysalis." His steam-driven moth-ship is now traveling slowly across an immense nebula. the engine's motoric rhythm generates the soundtrack to the view from his window. He is enraptured by the beauty of this explosion, frozen in time. It is a transition from a star to a cloud. A transition from a caterpillar to a butterfly. Incomprehensible in its immense beauty.

As a birthday present, I booked a “knitting retreat” for my wife and I via the wonderful local yarn shop @appleyarns at @surfsandresort in Cannon Beach, Oregon, and although I am not a knitter (even though I can correctly use the word “tink” in conversation) I thought I could go take photos nearby while everybody else knitted. Well, not only did I make new friends and take some photos, I was ab...

California Screamin’ - Snow Geese

Every Autumn, tens of thousands of snow geese make their way down from the Arctic through the farm fields of Washington State, and then into Central California. We love stopping in at the amazing Sacramento National Wildlife refuge visitor center near year’s end and driving the circuit to see what magic awaits at every turn. This time we witnessed thousands of snow geese relaxing in the Califor...

In May 2023 I got my first amazing opportunity to visit with some very cute and curious red foxes on San Juan Island, Washington, USA. Somebody thought he would get rich in the 1890s by raising European rabbits on the island for fur and meat, so he let them loose and quickly found there was not a big market for rabbit meat. They multiplied like… rabbits… and by 1930s their burrowing was undermi...

Baby Owl Cuteness Little guys everywhere are pretty much the same. “Where’s mom? She always has the best snacks!” Now if you hear this sound, you will know hoo is making it! A baby barred owl (Strix varia). This video was shot near a local park in Bellingham, at a respectful distance at 600mm and cropped in more, I was quite far away so as to not disturb the owlet. Music: ancient guitar air, un...
Great Horned Owlets Branching
zhlédnutí 567Před rokem
Great horned owls (Bubo virginianus) tend to get a jump on Spring and raise their babies right away. After a nest fell apart in a local park, rescuers put up a laundry basket, and the owls came back and had FOUR baby owlets this year! Owls do not build their own nests, instead taking over whatever nest or cliff hole (or laundry basket!) they can find! Baby owls are called owlets, although these...

Wow! Nice job. 😊
what a fantastic night that was… I felt compelled to put something nice together from it. Thank you for watching my little video of this ginormous event!
Toujours aussi beau !! Incroyables ces oiseaux... !! BRAVO et salutations de France !!!
Merci! They are cute birds, and I am so happy to have seen one now, and share the encounter too!
j'adore !! ;) c'est magnifique ! ;)
What can I say, except that this new edition to your My Word! series is totally bad a🐉🐉, Eduard! You are definitely the book slayer 🐲.
When it came to getting this book off the ground, I wasn't dragon my feet! But then, I have a bunch of talented friends to help me take flight! Thanks Lori! You are always my partner in exclamation points!!!
🦉🦉🦉 The three fuzzy basket babies are so cute!!!!
We Love finding them every year!
Hi Edward, I caught your Whirlwind Word search and would like to help support you by buying the software. I don't like to use the apple store. Is there a way to buy it from your website to download?
Hello Rick, Thank you for your interest in my software. The short answer currently "no", since each of the other "software store" options require their own extra work for me to add support for them, and I prefer spending my time making this software awesome. **However**, there are other ways we can get this done for you. Please send me an e-mail at note-at-schwansongs-dot-com, and I will offer my idea!
hi, is it possible to change the fonts?
Yes it is possible to change the font and color of the letters and the title. There is a free "lite" version you can download which has many of the features of the paid version, so you can try it out first. You can even download the full user guide for free to look over first, on the app web site: www.schwansongs.com/whirlwind/ I think you'll like it!
awesome!
Thank you for watching! It was the most heart-pounding liftoff I've seen so far... but they are amazing every time I see them!
10 years ago ? 10 as in T E N.... How is this the best-kept secret on the internet? Love it!
How kind of you to say... sadly, I am pretty good at software, not very good at marketing :-)
3 years ago???!!! How did I not see this before? How are people not talking about this?!? Writing you reply to email as we speak, but I love it. Just, I do not have Mac. Is there any way for PC users to use this?
Sadly, I have no plans for a PC or Web version of this software, as the Mac projects I have going on take up 110% of my time. However, I look forward to replying to you and seeing how we can collaborate. Thank you, your enthusiasm itself is very helpful.
Thank you so much for sharing this method- what a game changer for me. Thank you again ❤
So happy to hear this is helping you!
Magnificent. Thank you. I will check out your music merch. 😎👍🏻
My loom everything works up ,mine works bottom to top, everyone I've talked to has never seen one like this before thank you for doing this video
This method is excellent and the most economically sound. Little waste, less equipment.
Nice music and looks like such a peaceful place for a relaxing day. Have not seen fish swim in clear natural water for years.
We all need a bit of unwinding time from life now and then! And seeing the fish is always an added bonus! Hope you are far from all the wildfire smoke this year!
awesome!
I absolutely love this video, Eduard. Thanks for sharing your kayak experience and showing us how beautiful your little slice of the PNW is.
Thank you, We found a good spot to settle into, finally! Wishing you the same as you search the other side of the world for a little quiet spot too!
Beautiful lake! And those fishes underwater ❤❤❤
It was so nice to finally use our kayaks this year… this lake is about 4 Km from our house and so much wildlife lives in it, beavers, otters, herons, osprey, lots of fish.
Great kajak🎉 tour....👌
awesome!!
That was such a fun morning, just had to share it!
awesome!!!!
Thank you, such wonderful (giant) raptors!
Saw your link via Nextdoor. I'm not in the PNW right now, so I'm unable to comment on the thread, but THANK YOU for sharing bits of native Washington state residents doing their lively jobs, keeping the state balanced from pests we humans are usually bugged by. I L-O-V-E seeing the home state through others eyes, and this Video is fantastic!!!
You are so welcome, and how serendipitous you found my little video on ND! Thank YOU for taking time to offer me feedback here, that always makes these long video editing sessions worthwhile! Well, as you may notice, I have a lot more video creations here, so I hope you enjoy my other little video snippets!
I love birds. Beautiful video and music to accompany it:)
So happy to hear from you and know you enjoyed this!
Not too shabby, E.
You are so kind... thank you for being a collaborative partner in notes with this ic42 guy so long ago!
Wow! Look at those talons and fluffy down!
Definitely dangerously cute winged tigers! Thanks for watching and commenting!
Love your dedications. I saw the flight of the trumpet swans on March 24, 2022; wait, you mentioned snow geese, I thought they were trumpet swans. Thank you for capturing the flight on video - spectacular!
I have a video about trumpeter swans too. They look similar from far away. I have learned that if you see thousands of big white birds flying or in the fields, they are snow geese. If you see 2, 8, or no more than 12 or so big white birds, they are swans. Swans like small quiet groups… snow geese are big party animals 😂
lol, love your humor. Definitely enjoy the captions along with the music. Great photography!
Thank you, life is too short to be serious all the time, I think! Glad you are enjoying my videos! It will be interesting when you find my hilarious “Great Wall” video 😀
This video for some reason doesn't open up to full screen. Can it be adjusted?
@@1gr8idea I only saved a medium-sized square version of this video. I can re-make one that is higher resolution, but I will probably just make a different longer better video soon with babies… that was a quickie!
Eduard, love your work! it's a joy to come across you via ND. Thank you for emailing photos of the herons & sending links to view more of your work! I'm glad to check out the rest of your videos at my leisure. I'll surely share them with the Women Home League tomorrow. BTW, l'm absolutely captivated by the dunlin and the heron videos too.
So happy to offer you some beauty, smiles and little laughs at this amazing world we live in. I sincerely appreciate your interest in these hobbies of mine, and having you share them with your friends makes my week, thank you!
Soo beautiful...🤗🤗😁
They are! I hope you get to see some baby owls in your area sometime!
I could watch you do these things all day long!
And look, it’s magic! You have three of me! 😂

Very useful information! Is this the Loom Barn at AGSEM in Vista?
Yes, we filmed it there.

Thanks a lot. I just got a tapestry loom with a sectional beam, I had no clue of how to warp it without a rack of bobbins (in tapestry, warps are not so long). Your video gave me all the information I need, that’s great.
This is exactly what we were hoping for by capturing and posting this video, thank you for letting me know!
That was beautiful! Thank you!
You're welcome, we loved listening to him play, and I offered to videotape this one for him and post it.
I remember the first time I heard and saw Scott Williams, I heard him playing Nothing else matters from the other side of a fair and had to go see who was playing it and bought his CD and loved his music ever since.
My lifelong friend Debi M sent this video to me and I am so glad she did. Hearing you play this instrumemt transports us to a different time...thank you, Scott, for taking us there!
Brilliant! Love the gentle, slow swirling movement, and the colors accentuate the feeling and emotion.
Here you have a haircut and a manicure. All the pleasures I!

Thank you, You clarified some of my thoughts. I also appreciate the sound quality of this video over the first one, I could hear ever word. I am a bit hearing challenged and the silence of the room was really appreciated. I am going to totally re thread 210 warp ends and figure out a raddle for my fold up Norwood Jack Loom which I have had and used for many years. I only recently realized that there was help for warping other than my home made archaic methods. I am probably the only weaver within 50 miles of where I live. thank you so much.Thank you, You clarified some of my thoughts.
