Thanks for your question! if your baby is not on solids yet, you will want to start by rinsing off the diapers to rinse out as much poop as possible. this can be done in the bathtub, or sink, etc. If your baby is on solids, you can dump as much poop into the toilet, and rinse your diapers; we recommend a rinse cycle in the washing machine so ensure your diapers get the best clean on wash day. Daycare/ Kindergarten use will depend on the facility/school your child will attend, so we recommend you reach out to them directly.

Surfactants are a key component of laundry detergent as they break up stains and suspend dirt in water, allowing it to wash away rather than redepositing. They are important in getting your clothes clean, and are especially important when cleaning dirty diapers! In choosing the best detergents for cloth diapers, we recommend looking for a detergent with: - High concentrations of surfactants that contribute to its cleaning power. - Enzymes also help break down stains and boost cleaning power - just be cautious with synthetic enzymes if your baby has sensitive skin. We also recommend avoiding any excess fragrances, dyes, bleaches and other harsh chemicals. Make sure your detergent does not contain fabric softener as this will cause repelling issues and build up on your diapers over time.
