@@MarianoGM99 As a norse civ, you're prob screwed since he deconstructed the temple so he wouldn't be able to make hero units to be the myth units nor myth units to beat the turmas. The only counter the norse could have had was to mass convert his gathers into ulfsarks but that screws u in the long run for eco so he was done for anyway. A greek god would still have the heroes there and prob a few centaurs rails this army poopy turma army

Nah it doesn’t. Scouts are the worst thing to do vs FC strats like this. As part of these strats, you wall your vills in at the resources. I climbed from 1250 to 1700 with FC strats (proper ones, not market abuse versions)

This is why my own builds (not youpudding builds) are properly refined and dont rely on market abuse. My romans knights in to scorpions build is a great one

There isn’t. Market is worse than a proper build. The market abuse builds are where people havent figured out how to make a proper build for the strat.

@@MorleyGames1 I haven’t played ranked yet but I agree, I tried this and I like my strategy I was doing before (I’m sure it’s not optimal but it feels good). Basically I start dark age exactly the same, except I just do a normal feudal start and drop the donjon first and a blacksmith. Then I just start pumping some Serjeants and harass. Then after a few good harassments I drop a donjon near the enemy base and a stable. Just keep casually harrassing till castle and get a ram. I’m a complete noob but I just love how Sicily functions. The donjon requirement for stables makes me forced to have at least a good defense having a strong tower in my base that can drop spears to counter scouts. And Serjeants are so strong in feudal I can push villagers off resources and stall and get ahead, especially with a few scouts running around as well

Are you playing on retold or the old version? Maps on retold normally have a set amount of resources around your base, normally enough deer. Old version has slightly different builds. But yes, you’d need more vills if going on berries. Maybe 1 extra on berries would be enough

@@MorleyGames1 I had the same problem with AoE2 DE! The sound was slightly less aggressive that in original AoE2, so I didn't notice it as easily.

I also don’t think it helps that it was my 3rd game after not playing an RTS for over 2 months lol

@@angrywhiteknee also worth noting, it was a team game build order for the pocket (middle) player in a team. The flanks would do feudal aggression whilst the pocket goes FC knights

@@0344478 haha i don’t know if this is an insult aimed at me or them! People are just so stuck with meta play they can’t think how to handle non-meta strats. This romans strat is very strong. Got me to 1670.

​@@MorleyGames1 It's not an insult at all. More of an observation. Guy wasn't lamed. Didn't lose a vil to the boar or shoot his boar with da TC. Didn't have an enemy unit come near his base & still didn't have fletching 20 mins into the game. It just doesn't add up is all.

Yeah you’re right, going for something different could help. 2 stable knights is quite strong generally but i think other than barracks you could get a range for skirmishers for the spears.

Because a scout can kill a weak villager easier if it is chopping wood or collecting gold. Keep the weak ones by the town centre where the can be garrisoned quickly from incoming scouts
