That was a test real world plumbing and don't change anything about the videos because everybody need to see how awkward these jobs are all the PVC waste pipe should have sweeping bends.

They dont stay tight after a while but are handy. Cut a 2 inch piece of hose and put on end of fitting when this happens.

Top tip i got from heating geek . Sod opening the wiring centre when replacing a zone valve just cut the cable and rejoin with cable connectors then you know you haven’t disturbed anything if it doesn’t work

Fitted one of these yesterday. They’ve removed the manual though and I always forget what way to set the dials when refitting the cover. Of course I had no signal on my phone either 😂

Another very well explained video Dan. I’m always surprised at how shite the electrical connectors are in showers, being just a crappy terminal block. I think terminals for ring crimps would be much better, but that’s just my opinion!

Hi Dan great video. In regards too kw for a shower. You haven’t got too put same kw in. Aslong as you have 10mm t&e and a 40amp mcb. You can put the 9.5 version no problem. If you have 6mm t&e and a 32amp mcb then Yh the lowest kw. Also when commissioning a triton. Always cold setting and the highest temp (minimum flow ) otherwise you can activate prv. Also commission without shower head. Just helping out not criticising dan. Take care 👍🏼

The temperature control never ends in the correct position with the T80. I’m guessing the left hand fastener had nowhere to locate. These are the most versatile showers to fit. In 16 years I’ve never not been able to retro fit one of these. But yes, have definitely forgot to put the blanking plugs in. Haha. Usually if the customer insists on talking to you whilst fitting it. Very detailed video Dan. Nice one. Keep up the good work buddy.

I'm off tomorrow for my first, solo soil stack repair (drilled through by some idiot with 20mm drill bit). It is a vertical pipe. My plan is to cut the small section above and below the "puncture", fill the gap with the new 110mm pipe using two flexible connectors ( Toolstation product code: 25396). Are there better ways to perform such repair?

I installed a stuart turner wc3 into my ensuite and so far touch wood its been fine. I did my best to make sure it was accessible as possible becuase of this type of thing 😂

That’s what you call an Accumulator. In plumbing it’s called a pressure tank. Used in combination with a pump supplying water it’s what gives the pressure in the plumbing. Vessels the size of busses are what give large communities their water supply pressure, instead of water towers now as a cheaper alternative.
