Untangled: Marine Heatwaves
As global temperatures continue to rise, our ocean is feeling the heat. Marine heatwaves pose a significant threat to coral reefs, coastal communities, and our collective future.
Coral reefs aren't just beautiful ecosystems; they support the livelihoods of over 850 million people worldwide. Yet, as the ocean warms, corals expel the algae that sustain them, resulting in devastating bleaching events. The loss of these vital ecosystems not only impacts marine life but also millions who rely on them for food, income, and coastal protection.
But there's hope on the horizon. Through concerted efforts to cut fossil fuels and protect resilient reefs, we can #SaveOurOceans. Partnerships like the Coral Reef Rescue Initiative are working tirelessly to safeguard and restore these critical ecosystems, ensuring a sustainable future for both people and planet.

Back in 2000 my grandmother told me a short story that I hope it never gets true. She tells me a scenery where bees didn't exist anymore, crops didn't survive and as results cattle died, there was nothing left since pollution have taking over the world, the governments around the world were fighting for water and. There was this woman, she was praying on the kitchen when someone knocks her door, it was the millitary service who was taking his older son for cattle, she try to stop the military but it was futile, later that day the same military send her a thigh with salt of his own son in a tray, she put it on the table and start crying. Her younger son of only seven years went to the desserted backyard where theres nothing, no plants, no trees, just sand and rocks, he met this old man who was wearing a mantle, the old man approaches to the kid and ask him what happened to the boy's mom, as the boy told the man what happened, the old man give the boy some seeds and told him to sow them with faith and told him that everything will be fine and that his brother will be safe. Happier, the boy did as the old man told him, he sow the seeds on the ground and imediately a tree shows up full of breadfruits, amazed at what just happened de boy run to his mom and drags her out to see the tree. They then collected the breadfruits for all their neighbors and when they get inside of the house the older brother was sitting on the tray and alive. When you cut a breadfruit on half it has the seeds shaped in the form of a letter "C" just like the C of Christ. Breadfruit is one of the few adible plant that doesn't need polinization to bare fruit. My grandmother was a wised women I just hope that a similar scenery never came true.

Statistically, there has to be at least one inspector taking bribes to look another way. Humanity is flawed when money is involved. Therefore, I choose to drop palm oil use and find other products that do not use it. It's too risky for our planet and the other inhabitants other than ourselves. To say I have little trust in your group says a lot. This is also 100% infographics, and ZERO footage of 'on the ground' reporting that shows us what you're doing instead of flying everyone everywhere to meet and chat. :(

My small effort to save our planet... 1) I do not waste food by my own but if other family members have wasted it , I feed it to cows and dogs. 2) The raw vegetable waste is used to make my compost every month. 3)I collect plastic waste of our house like oil, Shampoo, water bottles etc every two months and sell them to junk dealer. This plastic is recycled further. The money I get from selling is used for buying new plants. 4) In the hottest months of the year (May and June) I fill water in clay pots for birds and animals. 5)I avoid using plastic bags while buying groceries instead I used my cloth bag. 6) I try to reuse my items and clothes and don't purchased the newer ones very often. 7) I collect AC and RO waste water to water my plants. 8) I plant trees every week ..Like in this hot month of May I have planted 5 mango trees.

Population needs to be in balance with jobs, resources, nature and the environment. Having a bigger population in any country than the country can support makes no sense. Access to food, water, shelter, energy and jobs should guide population levels. The worlds population is still expected to add another billion people to feed, clothe and produce pollution. Humans are crowding out all other species of plants and animals. Education and birth control are key to reducing poverty and hunger. Having a child that you can not provide for yourself is cruel and irresponsible. We need solutions not just sympathy. Endless population growth is not sustainable on a finite planet. Every country needs to "TRY" to be more self sufficient. When there are not enough resources to sustain a population something has to give. Countries need to focus on quality of life for their citizens and not just quantity of life for cheap labor. Why import fossil fuels when wind and solar energy can be produced locally and solar energy can power electric vehicles. We need solutions not just sympathy.
