Mundee and Bates were paid off by David Webb to throw the shoot out. Spoke with Denny in a pub in Bournemouth recently and he said he was paid a grand by Webb and was bombed out of the club as he wanted a bit more on top of his contract given what he'd done for him. Webb decided he wasn't fit and released him. Bates a very shady lad who did all sorts of weird stuff including renting his wife out. All very tawdry. But yeah, there's the story!
