I do have a in un-motorized blue diesel which you unscrew the bottom to get to the battery area, but when I was little I thought this thing died and was gone for good so I took baths with it regularly, only the light worked when I put a new battery in... There was once a speaker

did you ever make a video of you tearing down that other train? my red light comes on then goes off. sometimes this works other times it doesnt. i replaced the dead batteries today and actually heard like a motor running as soon as new batteries were in it. thought maybe it was completely fixed. after turning it off the motor didnt run again but i do get the red consistently it just doesnt stay on.

Does anyone know if the control, can work with any train or is it specific to the type of train?

I also have the wheels spining freely problem, is there a way to fix this?

Doesn't work if your drive is not "C". I have multiple drives and none of them contain icons. Validating doesn't work either.

Im not going to lie, this worked, first try, i used the back end of a screw driver on the bottom and i was shocked, good vid haha!

Hey just got my 3 year on 5 trains none work and I'm more controls look like yours except mine got speakers on it and make sound I get the more controls to work I get the trains to light up just can't get them to move

Tried your fix on 5 trains today... trains are almost 20 years old and were last used around 15 years ago and you know what? 5 dead trains came alive and my almost 3-year old daughter is giving our geo-trax trains a second life now! Amazing!

I was getting the wrong icon for dark souls remastered, because I was selecting the game itself (the .exe file from steamapps folder) which gave me the icon of dark souls prepare to die Edition. and now I found the remastered icon on steam>steam>games folder. thank you so much 👍👍

Thanks for sharing how to get the icons back, but since I hadn't found out why the icons gone white in the first place, and the fact that it'll most likely happen again. With over three hundred games that have white icons I just can't be arsed! LOL

My train is busted with corrosion. I opened it up but there was no way to get to the battery contacts because the plastic is connected to the other plastic and is not held on by screws. It sucks because it was my favourite train and I got the remote to work but can’t get the train to work sadly. The design of the battery compartment is stupid in my opinion, or I’m just stupid fir leaving the battery’s in 😂
