How does this amp sound for classic rock sounds. I have a Tiny Terror with Orange PPC 112 cab and that combo sounds very nice but curious if the Quilter can replace it. It would be great to have a bit smaller lighter amp with,or consistent tones. But I have to admit haven’t heard a solid state amp that compares to a tube.

@@Twylightt yes it brings some very clever grain. The whole thing is a computer. The fact the drive is in the loop is just a parameter in the chain.
EVH did it for a reason and he was a musical genius so who am i to argue and nothing wrong with being a bit OCD i find it wastes a lot of time but can also save you a lot of $$$$.

Hi I'm really interested in this amp and just wondering where are the headphones/line out located. I can't find any good pictures online, the back of the amp looks to be smooth. Is it underneath in the cabinet?
Yes, it’s positioned a bit awkwardly, on the back side of the “head”, which can be unscrewed from the cab and used as a table-top amp, much like their smaller Tone block amps are constructed. So it’s an amp head rotated 90 degrees and put into an excellent cab. I don’t like the built-in analog cab sim, so I turned it off and use line out with IRs in the DAW, or a cab sim pedal. I’ve found that 65 voicing is indistinguishable from Tone King Imperial’s rhythm channel, which used to be my ideal amp sound, so now I have that tone in a mere 12kg package 🙂

Quilter amps are so under rated. For years I have used 2 Quilter Tone Block 200's. I will never sell them. Fantastic demo of the Aviator!

Yea, some pedals take a while to grow on me, like the EAE Halberd v2 overdrive. The day I got my Deco v2 I ate a weed gummy and I fell in love with it right away, its never coming off my board unless Strymon does an upgraded version. I felt like I was transported back to the 70s!
