Part 1
After a difficult time hitchhiking in Croatia last summer and with €19.65 left in my pocket from that trip; I head back to the country to try to spend a week there with my remaining budget. Along the way, I meet some interesting characters, find abandoned buildings, tackle steep scree slopes and try to survive on a tight budget.

Hello! Whats the reason for it not being in 16:9 format?
The GoPro wide angle mode records in 1280:960 resolution, so I decided to standardise everything else as 1.33 (4:3) as it makes the most sense to me rather than jumping around aspect ratios constantly. It means that no matter what screen size you are watching on, the maximum amount of screen space will be filled. I also just generally like the vibe of this aspect ratio and resolution as it gives it a more gritty feel imo.
And because my GoPro Hero 3 doesn't have a screen, shooting wide is preferable as it means that as long as I point in the general direction, it'll probably be in frame. Hope that answers your question 😁

@@EduardoSullivan359 yeah, just before I went, I got into watching older hitchhiking videos from the early 2000s which will have been filmed on VHS and similar cameras, I couldn't have taken one of them, but I thought a cheap GoPro was a nice middle ground. I do love more cinematic polished videos as well, but imo, the grittier aesthetic suits my experience more than a bunch of drone shots and cinematic aspect ratio (which I wouldn't have had the equipment to do anyway)

That was actually my first time ever setting up a hammock, I hope I didn't do too bad of a job 🤞. I'm definately not a hammock dude, but it was much more convenient than a tent on a number of occasions, especially when I had to be stealthy
