No, you don’t need to purge the hydro pressure off before you take off the single point like you do on the pain in the butt original connectors. I'm already itching for snow and we aren't even halfway through June! I think we got barely 300 miles on this past winter! Riding on Tug is fun both seasons for sure. One thing nice about going in summer is that you can see where there are potential water holes. I'm seriously thinking about buying land up that way in the near future for a camp. How often do you camp in your motorhome? How about some camping videos!!

    • @SometimeIsNow
      @SometimeIsNow Před 27 dny

      Hey Adam, Oh Yeah.. I can feel the cold fall breeze now just around the corner. 😁 Not getting to ride any miles this past winter was a first for me. I figured I’d get another ATV just in case next winter is worse than the last one. We actually camp quite a bit in the motorhome and on occasion I post photos to instagram of our stay. We mostly stay at the larger RV Resorts with concrete pads. I’ve recorded aerial footage in the past from different RV Resorts we’ve stayed at showing the sites from above. I sold my drone last summer due to all the new and upcoming restrictions from the FCC They require adding a transponder to it now so it was time to sell and move on. Last camping season I recorded some footage walking around campsites showing some of the better ones but never uploaded the footage. 🤷🏼‍♂ Maybe I’ll do a video or two this summer highlighting where we’re staying. Take Care bud and stay safe. 👍🏼

    I do mine annually right after summertime as I don't use it nearly as much in the winter so usually about 150+ hours on it when I do it. When I first got it I did the 50 hour then I did it again at 150 hours and I've kept around that 150 hour mark since. It's a great little tractor, does way more than it was designed to do so it is worked hard but I make sure everything is greased well constantly (I use Superlube Grease) and air filter is cleaned and checked weekly and the most important is the radiator screen I clean that sometimes a couple times a day if I am brush hogging but generally clean it when I am done with it for the day. Haven't had any issues with it, it fires right up and does what I ask it to do which saves my back LOL! Great video, John Deere should pay you to use it for people buying a new one.

    • @SometimeIsNow
      @SometimeIsNow Před 27 dny

      Thanks for stopping by to watch some videos. It’s appreciated. I don’t put many hrs on little johnny in the summer months unless I have a small project around the house here and there. All the hours mostly came from winter snow blowing but the past two winters I’ve only used it 2 times each season. I just looked the other day when I was moving some dirt and there’s not even 100 hrs on my tractor yet. lol I do make sure the air filter and radiator filter screen are always clean and clear. I change the oil and filter every season no matter what. Some would say it’s a waste but I say it’s cheap engine insurance as diesel oil gets dirty much quicker and contaminated with diesel fuel and soot due to the higher compression engine so I change it every season. Wouldn’t that be great to have John Deere pay me to drive their tractors.. 😁 I would love that. 👍🏼 Take Care and Think Green !!

    Awsome video! Does the parallel box run the auger at the same RPM as the chain drive did?

      Hey Anthony, Thanks for taking the time to watch the videos. Yes, the auger turns at the same RPM with the new parallel box as with the open chain and sprockets. Take Care 👍🏼

    Hey nice job on the video, it really helped a lot with my first time changing the blades. Just a heads up though, I double checked the torque value in the owners manual when changing the blades for my Hustler and it shows 73 ft-lbs for the blade spindle bolts on the top and 118 ft-lbs for the blade spindle bolts on the bottom. So you might want to torque those guys a little extra this year. Haha

      @SometimeIsNow Před 2 měsíci

      Thanks for stopping by the channel to watch the video. You must have a newer Hustler.. My owners manual showed the torque spec I used. Hustler must have updated the torque for the blade Ont he newer models. 🤷🏼‍♂ Thanks for the update. Take Care. 👍🏼

      Hey Ken, Sorry I took so long responding I Just noticed your question. Did you figure your issue out yet? Have you tried backing off the adjustment even more to see if they unlock? Just remember that after you get the wheels to unlock you’ll need to readjust the brake in to make sure the emergency brake holds the wheels after the adjustment. Take Care 👍🏼

    I bought an used hustler with 27 hour but it looks like the hydro gear is totally empty. I asked the guy what is the hydro gear stands for and he never told me because he didn’t know. What do suggest me? Fill it out with new hydro gear oil like you did or do an oil change because it has only 27 hours I guess only need to fill with hydro gear oil right? Your video is opening my eyes thanks for the video. Let me know thanks

    • @SometimeIsNow
      @SometimeIsNow Před měsícem

      Hey Dommy, Sorry I took so long responding. I just noticed your question. Hopefully you added some hydro gear oil in the tank before using the mower. If it were me I would fill the hydro tank to the proper level and keep an eye on it as it will slowly go down as you use the mower as gravity will take some time draining into the gear drives. As long as the mower seems to work properly you should be fine then when you get 50hr on it i would change the fluid to be safe. Oil and filters are cheap insurance to keep your mower running top notch for yrs to come. Take Care 👍🏼

      @@SometimeIsNow I came upon your videos with your Gamin tread install video I used to install the GPS on my sidewinder, a big help, thanks. Love your videos. Do you have an install video for the scratchers? I have cable scratchers but breaking the rubber stops on the rail all the time and looking for a new scratcher type.

    • @SometimeIsNow
      @SometimeIsNow Před 2 měsíci

      @@jimseverns6546 I did record video on what it takes to install the Skidoo tunnel mounted Ice Scratchers but never edited the footage and uploaded it. A one point I was thinking of selling a kit to mount the skidoo tunnel mounted scratchers to the Procross chassis and be reliable. Using the skidoo mounting kit and their bolts supplied it was sketchy and I didn’t like the risk of the mounting bolt contacting the pivot idler arms. I noticed the rear skid likes to split the rubber shock rail pads. I’m going to be recording going through my rear skid, replacing all the chinesium wheel bearings to Timken bearings, adding a 4th wheel to the rear axle, upgrading to a Yamaha Sidewinder drilled brake rotor and upgrade the driveshaft bearing to Timken from the cheap Chinesium one. Email me at yoursometimeisnow@gmail.com and I’ll send you a few photos of how and where I mounted the scratchers.

    You got those wheels in the wrong holes. You are mowing too low for the wheel setting, thats why the wheel brackets are bending . Check owners man.

    Great video! Tip on those infamous vent plugs - trying to get them loose from the back, is like trying to fill a straight the hard way. After putting the filters and covers back on - come at them from the front while the wheels are off. You have much more room an you can get the right side plug easy from the left side of the mower and vice versa. I used a 1/4 allen socket and 3/8 drive to break them loose and just fingers and the socket alone to take them out.

      And also, make sure you review the air purging routines after the change. An airlocked system is a pain and it's EASY to cause it.
