This is actually a very interesting study in projection into the audience. He has an audience that is around him in a circle, but no matter where he is skating, he is always out of someone's view. So he has to manage skating around a giant frickin tree AND capturing and keeping the attention of an audience who can't always see him. I think he does exceptionally well.

She is still the Champion skater hands down. Only when she puts her skates away for good, will there be a new Champion.

@FigureSkateCalendar Dan tweeted me on twitter and even said "woahh low landing there on the 2nd one!", Ryan had the same problem with his backflips also. And yes the tree is very obnoxious. They honestly just need to get rid of it.
