what was the go with SOS? jencke mustve said something
Brian Taylor confirmed umpire Peter Cameron had money on him to kick his 100 goals! He can still be charged with match fixing and bring the game into disrepute as an official.
Thug and knob head.
only race it won in 12 starts
Plugger kicked 7 goals or more in a game in 74 matches. He kicked 10+ goals in 22 games. As Spud said, hes the Bradman of AFL
Very pleased to meet Peter about 10 years ago
10y first start maiden win. 8y to catch him. Keith.eeeee......
Strangled in a trial. Opens 11/1. Obviously guide dog day at the trials. Well done.
Total flog.
What a shame Dunstall and Brererton were injured for the grannie.
Ablett sr at his best.
Taylor held??
I think most of ya are biased , Brown, Fevs ,Franklin, Hall were better. PLUMPER 🤣 was like an elephant trying out for the Bolshoi Ballet🤣
😂😂😂 obviously trolling
Another Hawthorn Premiership year.
Then what brings you here watching two "dead beat" teams?
@@jonburrows9816 Dead beat ? wake up, Turkey. In the last 60 years, Hawthorns won more more flags than any other club. At least 1 every decade since the 1960's.
@johndoe-im7sj Never called Hawthorn a dead beat side, Mr. You made a comment about your club watching two below average teams. VFL/AFL surely has released the 13 flags on VHS & DVD, possibly even Blu Ray.
Watching this old game showed when the players kick a goal there's none of that B.S high five going on that's occurring in today's soft games. You see a simple goal kicked and yet all players run in, all high fiving and jumping around like excited school girls ! Every team does b.s crap ! Sick of it
When footy was real true blue football back in this area ! Hard Tough no umpire interference because those umpires also knew this is how real football should be played ! Unlike today where lady like umpires are inserting themselves into the game ! Just shut up and let the game flow ,you're killing our once great game 😡😡😡😡
As a Essendon Bomber supporter Ablett was my favourite player ever ! When Ablett played against Essendon I quietly wanted Ablett to kick 10 goals but of course my Bombers won of course 😂
Best Dipper highlight was when John Dorrotich laid him out during national anthem time during grand final, classic
Great player, but a thug.
Disappointing to see Cappa littering after his hammy but what a speccy!
RIP Robbie Flower. A true great of Melbourne and one of their finest players. Great footage of him at his very best and even with Big Carl when he was Demons Capt/Coach. A true champion was Robbie. A true shock when he past. Thanks Robbie.🏆🇦🇺
Nice to see real contact happening. Some injuries were always present but so many were either shrugged or run off. These days are theoretically safer for players but they are trained to a level of fragility that simply wasn't a problem in days gone by but then,I suppose, that's progress.
A knee to the nuts. Come on Derm!
The Cheer Squads next to each other! Rare event then. Doesn't happen now.
Personally I believe Lockett is the greatest player to ever play the game , he played in an era where full backs had free reign to interfere with the forward and not have any fear of being penalized , in this day and age if he wasn’t made to run up and down the ground like a game of basketball he would kick 150 per season
Good footballer. However, IMO, he needs to give the commentating away, altogether.
Great game
That song is just brilliant 😂
SIMPLY THE BEST OUR PLUGGER .
Not a Saints man but all hail Plugger, what a monumental player he was. Despite his one-on-one ability, great set of hands, he was damn quick off a lead. Not only was he such a great set shot but I'd forgotten how great he was in traffic with a snap, phenomenal.
Legendary player but also career grub
By the time 1990 rolled around id seen the pies lose 8 GFs... Pretty painful... Anyway i saw taylor as a flore in our team. Why??? Brian couldnt kick clutch goals, that simple. 35m out at 45°= 15% possibility of kicking it !!! When he was left out of the side i rejoiced and went to the GF knowing this was my day... AT LAST !!!! 😅😂🤣😁🎊🎉🎆👏👏👏
What the hell is a flore?
@@AIJimmybad think he means flaw
When all time greats ae mentioned , he is right up there !
people forget his agility
The square up Master
Don't tell me it wasn't more enjoyable footy back then unlike Today's Robotic Crap , glad I was there to see it
football was great in the old days it had style and character and not boring football today has lost its character.
Best full forward ever
Not as good as me.
Great day was there that day go saints
The real king
What a win !
The blonde dude #45..? Who is he ? Any info'...?
Collingwood? Matthew Ryan. google "afltables collingwood all time player list" then sort by number.

This happens alot these days
Monkey could've easily marked the last one. Morwood's could easily go either way (depending on the umpire officiating). McGuane fumbled it (although he disguised it well) - can't give it deliberate. First one is definitely deliberate though.
McGuane shouldn't have been penalised. 1, 3 and 4 yes
I agree with all the calls.
1st and last were deliberate out of bounds, middle 2 weren’t
1st, 2nd and 4th all deliberate, 3rd one is not.
I was at either his first or one of his first games as a young bloke and he booted 5 goals and took a mark of the year contender, also years later played cricket against him, he was a better cricketer than footballer I think, jeez he could give it a wack
Macavaney about to cry.
Peter mckenna pies legend and one of the best kicks for goal ever
He kept his cool well under scrutiny. Terrific fellow, Peter McKenna. Turned up most Sundays at our local parish and always had time to chat to the kids.
Which parish was/ is that ?
@@terrycarthy4433 St Philips in North Blackburn, Terry. He was there most Sundays for several years when I was a young teenager. Not sure if he still goes there, though.
@@bakiunicorn ; thanks for the reply. I'd assumed he's Catholic, his name suggests as much...but one never really knows. He was a giant when I was a kid in the early 70's, phenomenal times with him/ Hudson and Jezza. First 'Pies game 7yo me attended was Hudson's comeback in 1973. He kicked eight, McKenna got seven. Peter Mc's all class, fabulous career in footy, media and as a chauffer at parliament!!
Sticks was a dead cert champion, perhaps a wee bit too skinny to deal with the likes of Langford. I loved their clashes, though. It was evident that they didn't like each other, but I saw no foul play.
