I love Liverpool but I went to a grammar school in Crosby. I lived in Formby, which was then in Lancashire, but most of my school friends had Scouse accents. My mother who was from Yorkshire regarded Scousers as thieves, scroungers. What a great time I had there, my highlight was meeting Paul & Linda McCartney at his father’s house but Liverpool will always be my favourite city.
