My comment from yesterday seems to have disappeared. How strange. Perhaps it got flagged as spam because I mentioned who you know me as on a certain popular instant-telegram photo-sharing app? I don’t remember exactly what I said but I’ll try to write something similar. You are Andrea - AKA Andrea La Mexicana. You always strive to be the best person you can be, and this video only strengthens that. There are others 2/3/4x your age that could learn a lot from you. We all have our internal struggles, both big and small, and I can see that it took a LOT of courage to record this video, let alone publish it. 🥹💪❤ There’s an old saying: ‘there are two best times to plant a tree - 20 years ago, and today’. I hope from this point on you can feel better about who you are. There are a lot of kind internet strangers that appreciate you and what you’ve done for them, and this very personal & heartfelt video only reinforces those beliefs. And hey, perhaps you could turn this story into a positive one and write a song about it? An ode to you (before and after this moment) and to the people you were never quite honest to. From the guy on the popular photo-sharing instant telegram app who recently had his car stolen. You rock!!!

Andrea, you are the right person, at the right age at the right time. You are awesome. Put this behind you. Failure is fertilizer. I have grandchildren older than you, so what would I say to them. I would tell them to keep moving forward and do your best not to step in the same dog poop again, dog poop stinks and takes a long time to wash it off.

Andrea, you are super talented and do wonderful things, I never ever thought about your age and I watch a lot of your Dreamins Spanish videos. Whilst watching this video I guessed your age in my head as 22. You have been hugely successful and make very creative content. I can only see continued success in the future. Keep on reaching for the stars...you are already one in my eyes.

I've had your video on my mind today and am writing in english so it comes out correctly. Andrea, you have touched more lives than you can imagine. It took bravery to travel to Canada for schooling in your dream career path. At the same time, you are working full time with DS making engaging videos. At the same time, you are sharing your life experiences here on CZcams. I can't thank you enough for all you have taught me in Spanish. I watch and rewatch your DS videos, using shadowing. Every time a new Andrea la Mexicana video comes out, wooohooo, I'm on it! By sharing your experiences, family, and creative ideas, you have empowered me and so many others who hope to at some point become more conversant in Spanish. You are amazing! I am so thankful for you. Believe me and others here- We Love YOU!!

please forgive me writing my comment in english but my spanish isn't great and I might have been a bit lost in your story but I just wanted to comment and say that I know what it is like when people think you are much older then you are. I went bald and started growing facial hair at 15ish and from about 17 on everyone has thought I was in my 40's at least. most people my age get mistaken for my children not my friends. I turn 30 in december and I think it was last year when people thinking I am older stopped bothering me. the thing to remember is that one reason and probably the main reason everyone thinks you are older is that you are smart a trait that people confuse with wisdom. P.s once you hit 28 or so everyone older than 23 becomes a potential friend and it make life so much easier.

Que necesidad de mentir con la edad? que vida triste debes tener, nunca he visto una persona tan insegura, de que te puede servir mentir en la edad? La gente juzga por lo que ve, no por lo que le digan, si tenes 90 y te ves de 60, la gente te respetara como si realmente tuvieras 60. ahora si tenes 27 y actuas como una nena de 12, la gente te respetara como si tuvieras 12.

Hola Andrea! Estoy muy agradezco me ves en tu canal personal. Eras uno del los maestros favoritos de Dreaming Spanish cuando mis Espanol fue mas intermedio algunos tiempos han pasados.

Bueno si, lo primero que se nota al escuharte es tu madures, a mi me caiste bien desde que te vi con Agustina, con este video descubro tu canal, obvio me suscribo, que sigan los exitos y los momentos emotivos abrazo.

Yo creo es basante normal (para mi al menos), no es una mentira. Tengo deficiencias auditivas, entonces otra joven no siempre gusta mi. Entonces, me siempre gravité a las adultas. No tenia muchas amigas de mi edad. Yo siempre pensaría, "Los aldultas son más comprensivos y maduros.".

thankyou for sharing what was difficult for you, you have nothing to feel regret over and i send you a virtual hug from the uk and a high five for afterwards. i had a landmark birthday a few weeks ago it had me reflecting on what i have done and what i havent done and whether i will get to do them am i too old am i too young to be classed as this etc etc but i realised rather than worry about the what ifs i decided im just going to do it and not be held back anymore. Its the person that you are your character your values and how you treat others that counts to your family, friends and indeed your fans and the students you teach here and elsewhere for which i am one of them. Someone's age doesnt define them as a label and it wont you. I hope you are feeling better about things soon.

I'm so confused. You look like 27 and you want to be treated as such person but you acts like 16. Emotionally you seems to be still immature and only proving that age matters. This is what I can say after watching that. I know, it might be harsh for you but thats how it looks like.

por donde empiezo jaja una vez lleve serenata a una chica y cuando salio la persona de la casa me dijo que ya no vivia ahi otra vez en las cascadas de minas viejas en slp me iba a lanzar de un arbol hacia el rio y zaz me resbale y para abajo si no es porque si se nadar me voy con la corriente pero el peor jjajajaja fue cuando en un karaoke cantaba una cancion de Juan Gabriel, y no se si has visto el video de porque me haces llorar con todo y copa, bueno le queria hacer como Juanga tirando la copa y zaz le cae el coñac a una pareja me senti como una cucaracha osuki mil y para colmo me grabaron mis amigos ay no lo bueno que no le paso nada la pareja nada mas la mojada jaja

I'm sorry, but I don't understand the problem here. You're 23 but your friends think you are actually 27? So, what? And why would you feel any need to lie about it? Or feel bad about it? It's not that I would be unsympathetic to someone's problems, but rather that I just don't understand what the problem is supposed to be here. Sorry. I even turned on the English subtitles to make sure that I was not missing something in Spanish, but I still fail to see the point.

Wow! I too thought you were about 26-27 years old. Never would I have guessed that I'm actually one year older than you! This reveal is honestly just really exciting and I hope you know you have nothing to be ashamed of! It really isn't fair that society judges people solely based on age, because as you said, other than legal purposes of certain things, age doesn't mean a thing! La edad es solo un numero,pero lo que has logrado es de admirarse yo en lo personal lo hago, aqui te va y no acostumbro a decir nada de mi vida personal por redes pero yo con 33 años no he logrado nada relevante, es historia larga pero en rsumen siempre he vivido atado de alguna manera, hace poco decidi tomar las riendas de mi vida y liberarme, mucho del valor que tengo hoy es en cierta medida gracias ti, es decir veo tu gran personalidad, fortaleza, detrminacion y valentia, asi que me dije tengo que cambiar mentalidad y empezar a ser independiente, por tanto te digo que no hay que sentirse mal por eso. Que se tengan los que se tengan que ir, que vengan los que tengan que llegar, eres una gran persona( no te conozco pero lo se nunca cambies) recibe un abrazo a distancia con mi aprecio, sigue tu camino que estoy seguro vas a llegar muy lejos, que tengas un lindo dia Canadiense.

Andrea; nothing to forgive; you didn't do anything wrong. You did what you felt you had to do at the time in the past. And now you are doing so once again here, but this time from an older/wiser place. And your courage, authenticity, and heart are an absolute pleasure to witness. Quite simply for my part, you have always come across as a very lovable, honest, creative, funny human that also happens to be a super fun/engaging Spanish teacher. I am really grateful for having had the pleasure of watching a great many of your videos in "Dreaming Spanish", and plan on watching a great many more as I am now at 500 hours of input. Eres mucho más que tu edad, por supuesto! Hay tanto a descubrir y aprender de cada persona, que sea mayor or menor. Yo tengo 46 años y estoy aprendiendo español gracias a ti! Tu creatividad, energia, emociones y historias me alegrian! Creo que le gusta a todos por tu personalidad, y ya! Lo más viejo que soy lo menos que la edad es importante para mi. Cuando yo tenía 12 años no podía pensar en ser amigo de un niño de 11 años. Pero me casé a los 24 años con una mujer de 29. Y ahora tengo 46 años y tengo amigos de 25, 30, 40 y 60 años! La edad nunca es un factor.

I did happen to guess your age correctly, but like you said, it's really not important anyway! So here are several things that DO matter: You're a wonderful person, you're following your passions in life (and doing a fantastic job of that too), you have a lot of life ahead of you filled with many more amazing accomplishments and experiences, you make a positive impact on many people's lives every day through what you do, and we all appreciate you a lot! I'm 39 years old. 4-5 years ago, I had a coworker who was almost 15 years younger than me (so just barely older than you). We happened to have our breaks at the same time, so we naturally got to know each other. We both left that job a long time ago, but we've remained good friends to this day. It's the first and only friendship I've had in my life with somebody who is more than just a few years younger than me, and it has proven a lot to both of us just how little age matters. Sure, sometimes she asks me for advice because of course I do have more experience with many things overall, but otherwise, we simply connect as human beings exactly the same way we do with our respective friends of the same age. By the way, she's from Ecuador and she helps me improve my mediocre Spanish!

Yep, just a number. My daughter is an old soul, 17 going on 35. She loves hanging out with old people and can carry on an advanced conversation with all the adults in the room. Her friends call her mom. She's fantastic and is going places, just like you. ❤️

La edad tu lo dijiste es un numero, lo que importa es lo que eres, sientes, piensas y quieres. La esencia de cada persona es diferente, no se ve reflejada por la edad. Yo toda mi vida me rode de gente de todas las edades, mucho mas grandes que yo, mucho menores que yo, nunca batalle para encontrar "Numero" de acuerdo a la edad, tambien estoy seguro que me pasa lo mismo que a ti, si a amigos o amigas mas grandes o jovenes que yo les preguntan mi edad no van a saber, van a decir mas o menos... Pero no van a adivinar, la cuestion es no quedarse con el numero de lo que es una edad, sino lo que representa la persona para alcanzar metas y siemplemente los que estan contigo a tu lado te van a apreciar tengas 15, 20, 30, 50, 100 o para siempre, no debe importar eso!

Andy, la edad nunca va a definir lo que puedes lograr o hacer, y justo desde tus palabras y tu experiencia lo podrás ver, y en esos días cuando el camino se llene de niebla, recuerda aquella vista de cuanto haz recorrido. Te quiero mucho, y abrazo fuerte a Andy pequeña y a la Andy actual. 🤗😘

Asynchronous development is what they call the experience of a “gifted child” whose calendar age, intellect, body, social development and emotional development are all at different stages. Maybe asynchronous development is why the topic of age is hard for you, Andrea. Maybe you are several different ages at once and that’s uncomfortable. I have compassion for you. Please accept how you are, your lot in life. You have so many strengths, Andrea. If people don’t see all of your facets, and if they don’t accept your maturity and your intellect, well, that’s typical of people. And it’s their loss.

Dear Andrea, thank you for sharing what is on your heart with us ❤️ What comes to my mind is 1 Timothy 4:12 “Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.” Idk what your beliefs are, but this verse has encouraged me a lot over the years. It is ungodly to treat someone as less valuable than another person because of their age. Plain and simple. As Proverbs 3:34 says, “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble” no matter what their age is!! We should all be humble and seek to love one another and learn from one another. That’s my take on it, anyway. Disclaimer: I’m still learning Spanish so hopefully I didn’t misunderstand something important hahah 😅 Appreciate you, Andrea! 🙏🏻❤️

Ánimo Andrea, como muy bien dices la edad es un número, no eres la única que le pasa, tengo 29 años el próximo año cumplo 30 años, me ha pasado lo mismo cuando me preguntan la edad y me dicen pero tu no lo aparentas físicamente y me dicen que es por la genética que tengo pero a mi me da igual. Yo me siento bien conmigo misma, no me ofendo por eso, no me importa lo que digan los demás sobre mi, también me pasa no sólo con la edad, cuando me preguntan de que país eres me pasa igual, me dicen pero tú no aparentas ser dominicana ni en tu forma de hablar ni físico. Me tildan de europea o gringa. Me ha pasado que estando en mi país me hablan en inglés pensando que soy una extranjera (gringa) es cierto que tengo decencia de varios países europeos. Cuando fui de vacaciones con mi madre hace unos años atrás a Estados Unidos allá nos decían que somos italianas 🤣😂😂😂🤣😅😅 yo les respondía si tengo decencia por parte de mis abuelos.
