Flashforge Adventurer 3 review after 4 year of ownership and 1300 hours of use, all the details.
This is a nice long video which goes in to deep detail of the machine and owning it.
I do not cover cad work or slicer usage here, it is a review of owning the machine.
What I meant to say the the video regarding dimensions, is: subtract 0.5mm for inner dimensions.

    So just by giving them water all day, they grow up fast. Why even put them on the dirt.

    • @Uncle-Duncan-Shack
      @Uncle-Duncan-Shack Před 7 dny

      My title is probably a bit confusing, no growing medium is used, so the roots are only in water. However, the water has hydroponic nutrients added to it which the plant lives and grows off. So no, one cannot grow plants in water only. They need the minerals found in dirt, as well as oxygen, carbon dioxide and nitrogen.

      Yes, multimeters will do capacitance, but for inductance it seems to be a dedicated instrument. I measured some small inductors, a 40uH and a 220 uH and those measured correctly. Seems to be ok with small values. Those inductors are on a board with a few buck regulators on, surface mount inductors.

    You are the first person I've seen that did it properly. Everyone else only gets to a dull red. If you want the best possible outcome, use a wire wheel to clean the oxides from the screws, put a bearing ball between them, get them nice and red, sprinkle on some borax, continue welding, and wait until the steel begins to melt. Just basic forge welding techiniques. Good job man! Have a great day.

    Hi Duncan I wonder if you can help me. I have an outdoor weather station with an inbuilt temp/humidity sensor that went off line a while ago. Other parts of the weather report ok to the console like wind speed and direction etc. The original temp/humid sensor looked like it had corrosion on it so attempted replacement. The sensor pcb had part number EW105DV1. I replaced it with an AHT10 temp/humid sensor. Both have connections for Vin, GND, SCL, SDA which I think I connected right, but still getting temp and humidity from my outdoor weather station as off line. Other units are ok. Any ideas? Are these sensors compatible? Thanks mate.

      Hi Rob There is certainly going to be an issue with the IIC addressing and registers being different between the two sensors. My guess it that the station is going to need the original sensor installed to get it working again. Best regards, Duncan

  • @jtem9313
    @jtem9313 Před 5 měsíci

    I've tried to explain this to EV lovers. Ships are vastly more efficient than cars and trucks, yet there are no electric powered ships crossing the Pacific, or even moving from the Persian Gulf to Europe. If EVs were the least bit decent, they should all be electric, all the shipping. And none of it is. Maybe there's a handful of ferries across the globe, but if electricity is a decent replacement for fossil fuels in cars and trucks, the oceans should be covered in electric cargo ships.

    • @traktora1
      @traktora1 Před 5 měsíci

      @@Uncle-Duncan-Shack I really doubt we will ever see much improvement in batteries for one single reason - safety. The main benefit of hydrocarbons is that engines rely on oxygen witch they take from the atmosphere. Oxygen atoms are HEAVY. To burn 1kg of petrol you need about twice as much oxygen. This makes carrying around petrol both efficient and "safe", as it needs to be mixed with the oxygen before becoming explosive. In comparison, batteries contain their oxidizer and reactant inside, suspended in a electrolyte. If there is an accident and the battery releases it's energy in a short amount of time, depending on the density, you might get your Nokia phone's battery expending and melting, your iPhone's battery catching fire, or your electric scooter exploding. And as Murphy's law states, it's not about IF it's going to happen, but WHEN. About specific energies - that's energy per mass, energy density is per volume, and it's mass what you are lugging around. If you increase the specific energy of a Li-ion's battery by 5-10 times you get TNT. That's why some batteries just expand and melt, others burn. And that's why we have reached a limit. And Petrol, w/o the oxygen as we are not carrying it around, has 50-100 times the specific energy of batteries.

    • @Uncle-Duncan-Shack
      @Uncle-Duncan-Shack Před 5 měsíci

      Correct, a hydrocarbon is inert until an oxidizer is combined with it. It cannot produce an exothermic reaction, as you say that is a problem with batteries. There is no way to disrupt the reaction when a battery goes up in flames. And that is only one of many issues on a long list of problems with batteries.

    • @allangibson8494
      @allangibson8494 Před 5 měsíci
