I still don't know how I didn't get a penalty off pit road. Didnt know I was that high until I watched it. Jeesh

I’m glad the commentators shock reflected our own at getting clipped at T1 at the restart and putting us over 14x with 8 or so min to go. These new penalty rules penalize the clean drivers as much as the over aggressive drivers they are trying to deter.

So I never noticed the tires were wrong with the setup I was originally on. Too used with these being a fixed setup but I had it fixed for the race from the quali.

Some Trivia about the scheduled race distance of 150 (nautical) miles: The original race here on this track on April 4th 1970 was scheduled for 150 (land) miles. This distances is a bit too short for our liking, as road races in CIS usually go for 200 miles or 300 km (aka "full distance"). Races at Sonoma have always been a bit shorter than that due to the narrow nature of the track we didn't want to exceed the 2h time-limit. So we tried to get a bit more race distance out of the 150-figure. Our solution: nautical miles! So 150 nautical miles converts into 172 land miles or 277 km. This has always been a sufficient race distance for this track. Another bit of useless knowledge: 1 knot is exactly 1 nautical mile per hour in speed. Also this measurement is somewhat connected to latitude and longitude afaik. Hope you learned something new 😛

so i liked racing this better than the last 2 honestly. easier to drive and a whole lot more fun
