You can try change that humming fan for different one czcams.com/video/GdSIB_rRBRY/video.html Or even better thing buy different cooler which can fit this PCB design (Founders Edition) and change bios to different brand. Make sure to connect fan connector (that 1 long one or just single mini fan connector). I swapped this cooler to EVGA XC Ultra and changed bios because fans does not work properly.

Did you just play this on old hardware? I got this working on a virtual machine with 1gb ram and it would just ram me straight into a wall every time I turned lol... Idk If it's ram or processor speed but the turn speed seems tied to the hardware somehow

Will document my experience here for anyone in the future. I bought an Asus 3070 Turbo, the only card I could get during covid and always hated how it sounded. Even on boot it sounds like a tractor. I first tried an aliexpress replacement advertised for this card. The fan was physically identical but listed half the current draw on the sticker. This actually removed some of the “growl” noise but it was still a lot of rushing air noise. I then tried the fan Paul mentioned in the comments. I had to cut the connector off the stock fan and solder in place - the numbering on both the connectors matches. I would have used crimp connectors if I wasn’t so lazy. I also sanded the top of the fan just a little bit but probably didn’t need to, had no issues with clearance. This fan is silent at idle, and at 40% is about on par with the other fans in my case (very quiet) and much quieter than stock. But it’s still not quiet at high speed. I followed the reddit 3070 FE undervolting guide to lock it at 1725Mhz @ 0.85v and +800Mhz on the memory, locked at 40% fan and it benchmarks higher than stock with auto fan speed. Temps are just above 80C during stress test. This is without changing the paste between swapping fans so i’ll do that when I redo the fan wiring. Either way thanks for this video, can now game without earmuffs!
I hated that original humming fan at idle. Even that I bought the second same fan if the hum issue keeps happening (it does). So yeah this different fan was better and is was quiet even on idle. On load it is loud but only if that fan goes higher rpm and yeah blowers are overall loud. But still after while I hated that air rush when I was gaming and even on undervolted settings. If you are lucky with PCB and fan connectors you can just swap the cooler to different one. I did the same with this card (this is outdated video). Changed cooler to EVGA XC Ultra and changed bios (I had to do it because of not properly working fans).
@@Paulicek1 I would like to but it is very hard to find cheap GPU coolers for 30 series cards. The Aliexpress ones are like 150-200 USD which is just crazy. I think I will just have to live with this one.

Yes I can but when i did that it will looks strange and unrealistic. This is normalish FOV for me.

You can try fit original blower fan from nVidia 1000 series (GTX 1060/1070/1080/1080Ti/TITAN X). Even that is quieter than ASUS cheap made blower fans. This fan from that video is larger than original hole and maybe even on 1000 series.

Um no? You have a reference model from original nVidia Founders Edition but putting on a green PCB with very cheap cooler from HP (like always everything cheap made from HP). If you can just spaw that cooler to a different brand like GIGABYTE Gaming OC or ZOTAC AMP Extreme. I'm now on EVGA XC Ultra because of that long fan+led connector (I accidentaly broke that standart miny 4pin fan connector) and changed bios to EVGA XC Ultra. So yeah from ASUS Turbo to EVGA XC Ultra with just different cooler and changed bios. :D

my gpu no noise .i thing problem some times is temp.only araound 80+ from ultra but its ok i dont overclock. this. i think its good . normal temp. on oem. devlopers i dont wana go on 3 fans costomize .i dont wana like oc. on this vcard.
Hey I have this GPU and the noise has progressively become unbearable (it has been getting louder idk why) and I have tried changing the fan speed on afterburner and its like a hair dryer next to my head on idle. Is there a way to make it quieter without ripping everything apart or changing the GPU all together?
It’s on like 30% fan speed on idle but it sounds almost no different to 100% fan speed

Nowadays I just replaced the cooler from FE (bought from Ebay) and flashed bios to EVGA XC Ultra. Last few months I bought EVGA XC Ultra cooler so I can replaced it to this one.

Dont play too close to it, if u have wheel infront of u should be far enough, try 55 of 40 is too low
also you need to put the seat backwards etc, not just FOV

I have RTX 2080Ti (now with original FE cooler and changed bios). But yeah still good for gaming.

The monitor support multimonitor setup if you have any others. I have just one monitor with this resolution. I play this game on fullscreen mode and still I must look sideways but not for the mirrors.
I bought this one because the price was amazing. Running 3500rpm fan, 170 OC on the core and 700 on the memory, 74 degrees in 3440x1440 Battlefield 5 max settings. The noise was 63 decibels though. I could hear it from downstairs. I received my NZXT G12 bracket today, will see how it changes the experience. Ask me anything you want about this GPU.
Nice but this video is outdated. Following video when I changed the fan the card was little bit qietter. Now I bought FE cooler and I did bios flash to different GPU. :D So my card name is ASUS EVGA RTX 2080Ti FE. :D (PCB - ASUS Turbo(I know standart PCB model), Bios version - EVGA XC Ultra and cooler is Founders edition). :D :D :D I'm happy with that.

The camera mic (phone mic) is trash and the fan is sounds like that. Cheap fan with that hum even loud at idle.
I use to love Asus until both of my 1080s died. Qc is non-existent for them.

There is/was any protection? Nope. For me without any problems. My version works great.

Sadly nope. I just unscrewed every single screw what I saw and ightly opened the shroud where the original fan was located. The fan just pop off.

If your case is large enough don't go for TURBO version or anything with just blower type cooler. + you can get lower clocks from this card because of that cooler You can hear in my previous video the original fan how loud was even on idle. The humming sound is horrible from that fan. You can buy ASUS DUAL or go for EVGA XC Ultra.
@@Paulicek1 It's a very small case. Therefore I am standing between the Asus RTX 2080S Turbo Evo and the ZOTAC GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER, which has two "regular fans". I am just split about it, as it improved a lot in terms of noise, when you replaced the fan. Do you know how big the difference is in terms of performance between these two are?

Hey man, how loud is the sound during gaming when leaving the fan on auto and sitting in a normal distance from pc? Like 1 or 1.5 meters?
ASUS made a very cheap fan and is even audible on idle. I must replace it with another fan from different brand. Original fan model is FD7525H12D and i bought this BFB1012SHA01. Slight bigger and taller but if fit well. :D For now the GPU is quiter even on load but you can still hear the wind.

It’s not that bad if you have a good case and a watercooled cpu,( my reasoning on my specific build my case is full tempered glass with good amount of airflow I have a 240 mm radiator with a cpu block, and it’s about 5 feet away from me the gpu gets a lots of air how I have my front fans blowing and keeps it at 45 c even while gaming and 30 c while idle that’s playing cod and csgo.... so it depends maybe I have a card that was made good from factory but it doesn’t bother me at all cause of my cases tempered glass, conclusión if ur getting this card make sure you have at least you have a side of tempered glass so the sound doesn’t leak or get a water block, but for some reason my temps and sound with all my panels open while gaming doesn’t sound loud at all

Temps are 85°C on all high end blower style cards. Reference RX5700XT has same or evem more tepms. You can undervolt it in MSI afterburner. I undervolt if to 806mv on 1700MHz. Temps are lower.
The AI on this game follow a said-pattern and don't change it around. They also never take shortcuts, so use this to your advantage

@@VoltMX57 + what about undervolt? :) I undervolted to 806 mv with 1700MHz. Last time I tried hybrid this card but the temps were around 68°C because standart fan speed. When I made custom curve the temps were 55°C but noise was loud. I screw that hybrid out from that GPU. I didn't plan go full custom watercool system. I just don't like it.
@@Paulicek1 Well i think its loud at 27% - At idle its at like 29c.. I had the 1080ti Turbo, i could go 10% ca. 200 rpm with that card and thats is more or less the same fan/design. Its a software lock. Im using Asus GpuTweak II, awfull piece of software tbh.
My fan speed is locked at a minimum of 27% at idle - Have you had any luck with lowering this?
On MSI Afterburner the fan is locked on 28%. That's OK for idle. I think you can't go any lower or disable fan to spin. The fan has limited minimum amount of power to fan spin. I tried this with blower fan from GTX 1000 series connected to Motherboard. czcams.com/video/-kNPYpXvRU4/video.html

Yep I already know about this. Changing fan speed from MSI Afterburner + I already made hybrid from this. :D Temperature now on full load is 55°C and OC to 2GHz+

@@Chickenhunter9 Hybrid from EVGA but I little bit messed up and bought wrong hybrid kit. :D So I use the pump and one pasiv. Pasiv cooler for VRMs are from Aliexpress. Maybe one day I upload what I made to the GPU. It's fine this still can works good even if I made a mistake.
