i couldnt get this Arturia melo-fi tape to stop making noise when it wasnt playing anything, even when i had the tracks stopped. what are your settings?
You have to turn "Noise" (preamp side) and "Mechanics" (tape side) to zero. then; silence.
thank you for the warning. nice tune! im going to have to check out that ethereal earth library. i see your using the newest mpk plus, how nice;y has it been playing with ableton? i like the looks of that but i got rid of my last 2. i have a push 2 but i like a small keyboard, 37 keys, pads, encoders, transport controls...looks like thy finally got there! does it work with ableton live though? i see your using it to good effect so far
i actually sent the mpk mini plus back a few weeks ago, after this session. they did some things right, but so much is either half-assed or downright dumb. for starters; you can't send midi on separate channels with keys and pads, the encoders behave like normal pots, you can't change sustain pedal polarity (that was the dealbreaker), not on the key and not in the editor (who isn't m1 native) and on and on... i'll stay with my trusted launchkey 37, although much bigger. edit: ableton script also nonexistent (to this point, it's fairly new), here i mapped the controls by hand.

it's made by step-by-step reducing the "bits" from NI Bite, on the rhodes track. after adding up some light drive on tape-mello-fi in the first minutes. turn saturation up to let it completely escalate. oh, and, thanks :-)
Loving the 80's Juno keys around 6 mins 50! takes you away, reminds me of Pink Floyd/80's movies! Nice work, hey, perhaps set up some beats behind it, that Ableton I can see?
thats ableton 11, right, everything is noted in the description. keys are more prophet than juno i think... also thought about some beats while setup, but decided against it, for one it's the first "ambient" one in the series in over a year, and second it's is a reminescence of this: czcams.com/video/VE7xbxapme4/video.html
