I knew my opponents were Magyar, so I thought they'd rush me with either horses or archers, so I started building some spears and men-at-arms early. I ended up wasting some resources on siege that died, but not like the opponent wasting resources on water. (Loss) I got picked Chinese vs Hard AI Vietnamese. I didn't realize until I had blew my lead that Chinese had Champions. I would have put more toward gold so I could have gotten some Champions in 5 - 10 real life minutes before when I started building those Halberdiers when seeing those elephants. I should have known that they would have a shit ton of rams too, but you gotta live it to learn it...

Decided to go aggressive early and it cost me the game! I should have started walling around my tower I think, as it would have kept Red's villagers away from the tower. I was going to build more but there were a lot of villagers and my micro isn't up to par. His archers and skirmishers were more than my army, however big it was.
