@@palanipps Procedure is more less the same, but bitmapping differs. Like i said, i have no hardware so i would not be able to test modbus. Simulation doesn’t work, i guess, at least on PROFIBUS it does not.

Video is made with real HMi. You need to make sure, that your firewall does not block.

Sm@rt client will not help you here, as sm@rtserver is Siemens customized VNC server. As far as i know, it has no ability to transfer files. You could follow this SIEMENS entry: 92346478 (type it in google).

SMB is not a file, it is a protocol used for file access to shared folders. SMB v1 is deprecated and no longer installed by default on the Win 10 machines since version 1709. On the fresh install of the newer OS there is no possibility to enable this feature. You could use HMi Option+ manager (entry 109754400), or you could try to use a vbscript to copy file to your workstation. By saving a file select a path on your windows machine, but you need to make a shared directory and it might be a big security issue.

Yes, that is enough. What you need to do is to set operating mode of the communication module - "DP slave", because by default it is "DP master".

Yes, PUT/GET is for PROFINET.

I might be mistaken, but FBs have no return parameter. FBs have so called "memory". Data block is assigned as the memory of the FB.

@@automatikavaldymas already figured it out myself. You just write function_block Fb1 for example, without void & end_function_block. After compiling u can drop the scl fb into OB1 or any other and assign DB1 etc. But anyway thanks a lot for the reply! Best regards

@@KingSkully Warm tip. You do not need to write it by yourself. You can make Simatic manager to do it for you. Please click on Insert>Block Template and select any template (OB, FB, FC etc.) and you are good to go. Good luck!

@@automatikavaldymas I want to apologize because I think I missunderstood, this video is just installing the patch or service pack, I thought this was supposed to work as the download. I went and downloaded the original, then upgraded it. It works so far, I haven't used it to upload or download. But I misunderstood this as installing the actual software, so at first I was trying to run a patch/upgrade on software I had not yet installed.

@@jeremymcdonald5281 The link in the description is where the service pack can be obtained. Before upplying it you need to install full version of the Micro/WIN, which is paid.

What error do you get? Did try to run it "As administrator"? Did installation process ran smooth, and did you restart windows machine upon installation?

I believe it is not possible (at least i do not know such a way). Sm@rtServer is VNC server, customized by Siemens. You need to enable it. Of course, instead of Sm@rtClient you can use other VNC client. On the other hand if you are able to install VNC server on the KTP400 Comfort and run it, then you should be able to control HMI without Sm@rtServer. But i doubt it is possible.

As far as i know, in WinCC Advanced you can use only predefined resolutions. If you want to use user defined resolutions, then you need RT Professional.

Yes, you should be able to assign ET200M IM153 as slave for S7-1200. At least i can compile the project without errors. I will check if i have this module tomorrow, and if so, i will be able to test irl.

@alekseyalexej9665 unfortunately i have no IM153, so i cannot test it irl, but like i wrote in my previous post, you should be able to assign ET200M IM153 as slave for S7-1200. One thing you should take into account, that it might be so, that not all modules will be compatible with S7-1200 system.
